They are nice but haven't tasted anything like real Jersey Royals used to be for many years. I guess they're going for volume over quality these days?
fwiw the variety is called International kidney if you want to grow them yourself. They are "jersey Royals" because that's where there grown.

Much prefer to pay 75p a lb locally (Lincs) for local new season Spuds.
The window for jersey potatoes is getting smaller and smaller, still a good price for a nice tasting product though.
