They are nice but haven't tasted anything like real Jersey Royals used to be for many years. I guess they're going for volume over quality these days?

Bought two packs yesterday, very poor quality, even 49p is too much for this 'C' grade rubbish. I think ALDI are taking the p*** when they market them as 'Specially Selected'........avoid.

As you get older your taste buds change, and nothing tastes as good as the fifties when Mummy did the cooking.

Grossly overhyped and underflavoured. Good a while back but now about as worthwhile as Richmond sausages. Wait for some decent new potatoes from Lincolnshire or Norfolk and taste the difference.

They don't taste the same because the eurocrats stopped them using seaweed as fertiliser which they used to drag from the beaches on to the fields

Are they good? I tried the Tesco ones recently as they were reduced to clear to 20p instead of £2 but they were not as tasty as expected.
I guess I'll have to wait for the Waitrose ones to be reduced to clear again, they are the only tasty ones I had recently...

At first I thought they were fried chicken legs.

Yeah, but you're a Spurs fan, I suppose you're used to settling for second best ;-)

Much prefer to pay 75p a lb locally (Lincs) for local new season Spuds.
The window for jersey potatoes is getting smaller and smaller, still a good price for a nice tasting product though.

fwiw the variety is called International kidney if you want to grow them yourself. They are "jersey Royals" because that's where there grown.

These definitely 49p? They are in this weeks super 6 at 59p. Great if they have reduced them further to 49p.
