The Waitrose meal deal is on again - listed as 20 to 26 April.
Mains include whole chicken, tangy Gressingham duck breasts, Hereford beef burgers, tuna steaks in soy and ginger, Aberdeen Angus and ale pie, piri piri chicken, beef and peppercorn bake, lasagne rotollo, and leek and Wensleydale chicken, and mushroom stroganoff.
Plenty of interesting sides and the starter/ dessert choice includes mussels in cider and bacon sauce, poached salmon mousses, bacon leek and gruyere tartlets, Orkney dressed crab; and several options from Gu - hot chocolate souffles/ lemon cheescakes/ chocolate melting middles.
Wine is the same boring Italian Villa Nostra white or red as last time, or chocolates as an alternative.
I think I prefer the M&S deals, but I'm not complaining for a tenner and the wine is drinkable.
Gotta be worth 10 squid. Well done Waitrose, may your aisles always have customers.

Some nice choices there. Shame the drinks choice is so limited, but good to know you think the wine is drinkable.

Thinking whole chicken, moules, whatever dessert, red wine and grabbing a load of fresh bread for chicken sandwiches and dipping in moules stock. Not sure if good value for money or not but certainly convenient I guess

Wish there was a Waitrose in Wirral. Nearest is Chester City centre :disappointed:
