Its because Virgin are stopping their Edinburgh to London flights and so trying to get people to use rail rather than the air alternatives.

Form is a bit of a joke but filled it in anyway as planning a trip soon. Will be interesting, as always, to see what trains voucher is valid on and whether any of them would offer a reasonable alternative to the (usually) far cheaper budget airlines. Can almost guarantee that none will be any use if you need to get to your destination reasonably early in the day.
