Built in SMART isn't a big deal unless it's an Android TV - SMART tends to lack long term support by the manufacturers and is restricted to the Apps and third parties that the manufacturer has agreements with, so seldom do you get SMART functionality that covers all the best Apps.........whereas almost any external SMART device will be eminently preferable in the long term.

Just add a Apple TV or Amazon Fire to make it smart, and better than built in TV's smart systems.
