Built in SMART isn't a big deal unless it's an Android TV - SMART tends to lack long term support by the manufacturers and is restricted to the Apps and third parties that the manufacturer has agreements with, so seldom do you get SMART functionality that covers all the best Apps.........whereas almost any external SMART device will be eminently preferable in the long term.

Just add a Apple TV or Amazon Fire to make it smart, and better than built in TV's smart systems.

I have purchased this TV with the recent ebay code offer, review was hit and miss regarding few reports of HDMI issue. But for the price I thought I will give a go.
I would say it is very good budget 4k TV for the price and would recommend it. Yes it does not have many smart features, however I read about the lack of 4k content material and how alot are not true 4k and just upscaled materials. Somebody on forum suggested it possibly better to just get a good quality 1080p and use a 4k device to upscale. Hence I invested into the NVIDIA shield 500gb device (which I found on offer on hotuk too) and the non 4k content medias I was playing looked really good on this TV. Hope this help you decide if you are consdiering this. My only complaint so far is that the included wireless adapter connecting to the TV seems a little loose and needed fiddling and the menu may sometimes appeared a little lag.

Purchased on Tuesday for £449.00 and waiting for my 10% cashback to track, gutted that I could've got another £40 off by waiting a few days but it's a pretty good tv for the price. Brother in law recently brought a Panasonic which gives same picture quality for over £1000 and is now regretting it!

Hi , where do you put the code in for collect and pay in store
JohnnyRoller
3 Apr 161#25
I'm guessing because absolutely everything that you would use with a TV nowadays has all the smart features you would need. By even considering buying this TV you must already have a bluray player or be looking to buy a 4k player which would have more smart features than the majority of smart TVs.

Athia to eire og
3 Apr 16#28
I did similar after eBay voucher and no need to bring the original but they did need to get the new one out the back. Suspect they'll want the £10 from the voucher back though (as you're returning the product that gave you the voucher).

Why would you use the voucher you got with the first TV, if you were planning to return the first purchase? Did you really think they would let you keep the voucher when you returned the TV?
That's a different TV. That's the android tv, whereas this one isn't smart.

ifitsfreeitsmine

Ok just dread t and c.
Quidco of 10% only applies to instore purchases and when paid for by using quidco activated credit/ debit card.
Once the card is activated you must wait 24 hours before purchase.
Quidco will not be paid when used in conjunction with other codes and offers, staff discounts etc.
To cut a long story short, quidco will not be paid when using the code, the price for this tv is the one listed by the op.

Thank you very much for this and the discount code saving me over 40 quid. Just picked this up from Argos (paid online and entered the code just before 'pay now' - picked up in store). This is a second TV (for the front room) and I am very impressed with what I got for the money. Set up was simple. and the picture is great. Going to connect it to my PC later and at some point work out how I can get some 4K content onto it. The PC will be connected DVI to HDMI. Probably not the right forum but if anyone has a second, can I source and play 4K over this connection?
