Since you ask.... I'm heavily invested in getting a new TV myself (55-inch region) and I do my research well.
In my opinion, stay clear on Samsungs, even the 2016 models suffer from viewing angle issues.
LG are very good indeed, not had a chance to check this particular model, but if this LG set lacks HDR and is poor with motion, then save for a 2016 model.
Sonys are slow, Panasonic have shocking warrantee support.
More info when I get a chance

Exactly what I'm after, provided the input lag for games is good. Anybody with this telly able to confirm whether this is any good for gaming?

Anybody own this TV and can offer some honest pros and cons?
Majority of reviews seem positive, with the odd negative.
Looking at either this TV or the Samsung 55JU6800. (5 inch less screen for roughly same price...but is it better?)

Sammy all day long. Although I've heard the webOS on the LG is better

Sammy only all day long if you sit directly in front of all. The slightest angle and its no picture all day

Great TV. I bought the 55in version a week ago. It's great for normal programmes and movies, especially the LG OS, which is brilliant - LG arguably have the best application functionality and aesthetics.
The TV provides strong colour and the blacks are good too, good in daylight and at night.
The magic remote it comes with is incredible; it's got a lot of functions including: voice control (that actually works); multi-functionality - can use it to control your sky box; aesthetically pleasing.
Richer Sounds 6 year guarantee makes this TV an incredible purchase - I want to trade in my 55in for this #AlwaysWantMore
Be aware: I read reviews on rtings.com that gave it a 6/10 rating because it *apparently* isn't great for sports and gaming. But still a great TV for me!

From the few reviews and user forums I can find the input lag is 60ms making it a poor choice for gaming. Shame really as I'd be all over it otherwise.
