If you fancy a lovely two weeks in Jamaica then check out this amazing all inclusive beachfront holiday. You will stay at the lovely Samsara Resort in Negril which has near 4/5 ratings on TripAdvisor and actually has better reviews than higher rated properties and, in my opinion, looks lovely. You can find alternative accommodation that is bed and breakfast or half board if you wanted to reduce the cost further. There are also cheaper resorts but this one looks lovely.
Flights are with Thomson Dreamliner 27/04 until 11/05 and as hold luggage is £60pp I've just included one bag between two adults. You can each take 5kg of hand luggage each so pack light.
Breakdown
Flights for 2 £738 (hand luggage each and 1 20kg hold case between 2 adults) book at Thomson Airlines.
2 weeks at the Samsara Resort book at lowcostholidays.com £1191.96 (potential to get hotel cheaper if you know anyone with a studentbeans account but not sure what the terms and conditions are).
Book transfers at hoppa.com using code SUMMER20 £25.98
Total £1955.94/£977.97pp

3 star in the Caribbean = no thank you , we stopped in Jamaica on our cruise and 10 passengers where robbed of watches , chains , rings . we love the Caribbean but not this island , its not safe anywhere .

I don't think the star of the hotel necessarily means the crime will be more or less. If I was a criminal and wanting to steal from people I'd be thinking I'd get more from people staying in a 5* resort than a 3* one! I've heard some horror stories about people going wandering out of their resort in Jamaica but I guess it's being cautious. I wouldn't go wandering around most places in the Caribbean wearing expensive watches and jewellery. Just my opinion.....

Well have been to Jamaica twice (Ocho rios) & found it amaizing there are good & bad areas in every country. Personally though I'd rather go to the Caribbean any day of tea week than Europe!

Somehow I don't believe the above. Jamaica have it's crime issues but robbing 10 (nice round figure) from one crew ship is unheard off. Give me the date and what port you docked in and I can check this if it's true. Was it reported to a police station?

Walking around dripping in gold watches, chains and rings is 'ASKING FOR IT' in the UK let alone anywhere else. Learn, move on and don't let it stop you traveling.

Their are some amazing hotels on the island , but the crime rate against tourists is the highest amoung all the Caribbean islands .

I went to Jamaica last year in October at first I was reluctant to go out there because of all the scare mongering, I had a brilliant time the people were very friendly and the food was great, I am planning on going again and I would definitely recommend going out there and if you do make sure you go to Dunns River and Mistic Mountain. And yes I did come back with all my limbs intact and all my permissions.

Try telling the lady from our cruise who got her camera , phone , wedding and engagement ring stolen at knife point . 10 reported robberies at that port stop , none at any of the other 9 ports .

Sorry also forgot to mention as with anywhere it's about being mindful, you wouldn't wonder around in some areas in England on your own or walk around with a Rolex hanging of your wrist, or walk around with cash falling out of your pockets, so why would you go abroad and do it.

if you go, do the "one love bus" Lenbert is a star, got his email address if you need it. Dunns is good, Mayfield is much better, natural and quiet. 4 of us paid 100usd for a taxi for the day. Took us wherever we wanted to go.
