should have charged you more for extra protein... Seriously the odd crawly one would expect from anything grown... Whatever you do don't ever get an allotment...
It shocks me how Sheeple expect every food source so sanitised these days...

We got some last weekend 2 days later they were thrown in the bin as they had gone off, this is the second time this has happened so I won't be buying them again from lidl. The fruit and veg in lidl and aldi doesn't last no where near as long as it does in the major supermarkets

Did you use a mobile for that post, as I can't see anything anywhere near the O and the N keys to make sense of it ?

The ones I got a few days ago were from Spain. They were tasteless and half of them were starting to turn - that's despite spending several minutes searching for the best looking pack. Wouldn't buy again at any price.
Aldi's strawberries are much nicer - despite also coming from Spain.

Surely it's a bit early for genuine non-forced tasty strawberries ? If you close your eyes will you even know it's a strawberry, as they usually just taste very watery now.

Bought some strawberries from Lidl today. Did not check country of origin. Washed them before eating as would all outdoor fruit, having found insects in packs from other shops/supermarkets. Tasted lovely, not watery. Best I have bought this year.

probably as its not sprayed with carcinogenic preservatives... But I guess you'd prefer that...

It might be thanks to the minimum amount of added crap, just like those I pick from my back garden.
Besides who keeps a small box of strawberries for few days? I just eat them in one go.

+1, LIDL strawberries purchased on Friday were completely mouldy and/or smooshy by Sunday. Really disappointing.
But I will add that the LIDL mangoes are absolutely delicious, and the blueberries seem to last well.

Grow your own from heritage seeds and you will never go back to the GM filth you all buy in the supermarkets

There's no GM fruit and veg in supermarkets that I'm aware of and if there is it would be labelled as such. I don't think a commercial GM strawberry exists either.
Also which carcinogenic preservatives are you talking about? And are they found at levels that can cause a problem?
