Ian McShane, who I always liked but never rated too highly as a 'great' actor is a fantastic in this. Career highlight.
Very high quality produced series.

Such a pity they didn't finish the series off right. Brill series.

Just watched this again on sky box sets. Fantastic series my favourite, the language is almost Shakespearian it's such a shame it was cancelled before the story lines concluded. Hot!!

Phenomenal series. Agreed, such a shame it was cut short, felt so jarring and so sad to finish where it did. Though there have been whisperings of a reboot.
The dialogue is the absolute highlight (if you can keep up, it's f**king incredible) but the acting, set and costume design, historical elements all feel very authentic. I watched it all on Amazon Prime video last year for free though you have to pay for it that way now. Got this bluray from Zoom for £14.40 before Christmas, haven't got round to watching yet but I hear there are some audio sync issues in some episodes. Widely reported but hopefully not too distracting.
In summary, it's a fantastic show and deserves 15 of anyone's pounds.

There's been rumours of a TV movie and a mini-series to tie loose ends up for years, but I also read that they'd demolished the sets which makes it less likely. It'd be a shame if it was never properly finished but equally it'd be a shame if they did a "Godfather Part 3" on it...
