Hopefully other people are familiar with this product. Found in the Leigh Asda, but appears to be a national clearout of it. This is great coffee essence, you can make cups of coffee out of it by adding it to warm milk and use it in baking to.

I know it was big in the 70s and 80s when the price of coffee went up due to bad harvests in Brazil, so people used Camp Coffee as an alternative. Good for coffee and walnut cake to

A better questiom might be 'Does it still have coffee in it'?
It's certainly no coffee extract - and yet cakemakers swear by it for coffee cakes.

Dreadful but everyone to their own taste.

It is absolutely minging, the only way to kill the chicory taste is to add a pinch of salt to a cup, but there are those who still like it, and it does go into cakes, so that is probably why it still sells.

It's very good as a cold coffee milkshake type thing, great to have around.
With seriously cold milk & a sugar sweetener it is a delicious alternative to hot coffee on a hot day.
Minimal prep time, I prefer to have this kicking around compared to instant coffee which tends to make me violent (for some strange reason) ..love real coffee, love camp coffee.

Head and shoulders (and, no, I do not mean the shampoo) above Costa and Lavazza filter coffee which tastes like what I'd imagine recycled sewage would taste like.
