the airtime has stayed the same at £35 a month, however the payment for the phone has changed to zero upfront cost but £20 a month (24 x £20 = £480)
this make the deal pretty null and void, as you can get the phone direct from apple for £439
this is for the 64gb version but i assume something similar has been changed for the 16gb too.

Utter tosh and fantasy, if mother nature said 4" was a let down, all 4 inchers would be extinct and you wouldn't be writing this.

Once you have paid off the phone cost, what happens to the 24 months X £35? surely they wont let you cancel that?

They do, that's how O2 Refresh works.

you can cancel airtime as soon as you pay off handset. I've done it. you can go on o2 chat and ask for clarification and save the chat for proof.

I should have stated this in the opening post, but whilst it's incredibly unlikely that it'll get paid out, I've had £90 track from Quidco.

You can't really compare US and UK phone prices as US users are typically tied to a more expensive contract, rather than buying SIM free.
Also not sure what you mean by shi model (unless a poor attempt at an expletive). Anyway, this is the new SE model (similar spec to the 6S but in the 5S shell).

Who is this idiot? $399 is the price for a 16gb in the US, this is a 64gb UK spec phone. What are you trying to compare exactly?

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I make this deal out to be £1219.99, which seems to be absolutely terrible value

O2 Refresh tariffs work differently to standard mobile contracts. The price is divided in to two parts, the 'handset' cost, and the 'airtime' cost. The 'handset' cost in this instance is £15 and the 'airtime' cost is £35 - totaling to £50 per month.
With O2 Refresh, you're able to cancel your 'airtime' tariff the moment you fully pay off your handset, which in this instance, costs the £19.99 upfront, followed by £24 payments of £15 - hence the overall cost of £379.99
