There were 4 questions there that you brazenly expected people to answer for you. That, in my opinion is being a chancer, especially as most were not questions of opinion, they were easily verifiable technical details.

Put her money away! Go to one of the refurb outlets and get yourself a core2duo dell 755/760. Hundreds of these about ex govt/ company machines get sff or my versions not usff Around £50-60 mark. Then by yourself a evga gt610 graphics card ( works out the box) then follow this guide

I really like this idea, much better for an HTPC than having untidy external HDDs etc.
