Seems a decent deal from a reputable supplier. Haven't had any issues with gamestop personally, although i know some have. Sure some of these old 360's arent the most reliable but the 60gb models should be ones from later on, and at £36 it should be worth a punt if you're in the market for a cheap console.

Wouldn't you still be walking in the same direction after turning 360 degrees?

You know of a website that already sells JTAG'd 360s?

It's a fantastic price, but with only a 3 month guarantee, I'd recommend paying a bit more at somewhere like CeX which offers 24 months.

Maybe so but I'd say its more likely to go wrong in the first place with CeX.

they were either thrown in a landfill, or (far more likely) re-soldered and sold again in deals like this

I used to have a original type white 360 (was the HDD less core model) between about 2007 and 2011. To be fair it never had any kind of failure at all, despite the early ones being known to rrod.
However, the noise was appalling on it both fan and drive noise, was just tolerable in games but made TV/movie watching impossible.
Replaced it with the black slim model in 2011, which I still have, massively better machine, virtually silent by comparison.
Not sure if these are as bad for noise but these days I'd always recommend the slim version, doubt it would be that much more either...

is this the model that has the red light of dead problem? And does it have original xbox backward compatibility?

ALL 360s have backwards compat. because it's a software not hardware thing (on a limited range of titles with mixed results if we're honest)
In theory, all 360s can RROD too - the worst offenders are the earlier designs pre 'Jasper' chipset - this page explains how to tell if you have it
If it doesn't die in 30 days it's probably AOK tho - just give it a good workout ;0

odd, OH has had original from day one, never had an issue, not any louder than my newer slim version.. luck I suppose. great price, just heavily play it within the 30 day I'm sure by then anything lingering would appear

You'll be getting Xbox One refurbs at this sort of dough if you're willing to wait a couple of months after all the announcements Spencer made this week :smirk:

Lol, it's hilarious that someone will actually take that as the truth.
