Two reasons spring to mind:
1) Because the people who really want to go will make the time to get the tickets.
2) Also if it's in the evening the site simply would not be able to cope with the load.

More gimmicky rides. How about some real thrills like Shambhala at PortAventura or Silver Star at Europa Park. Thorpe Park really needs to do much better.

I was terrified of kondor but braved it.it was terrifying but an unreal drop. Furious Bacco is also an immense ride.
