Formulaic Tarantino:
1. Use the word N*&ger as many times as its irrelevant to do so
2. Violent - obviously
3. Male rape - definitely
4. Overly verbose dialog, you can imagine Tarantino dreaming like Rik in the Young Ones about his dialog, never ever as good as you imagined it to be Quentin!
5. Use the same actors you've worked with before in other films
6. Usually about 1 hour long than the film needs to be.
7. Have about 30 minutes in a film that is actually worth watching.
How can a director that did Pulp Fiction just amble on by for the rest of his career? It's happened to other directors I guess Orson Welles - Citizen Kane.
I think Tarantino got lucky with Pulp Fiction and he had help, a lot of help from Roger Avery.
Tarantino a massively over rated director and massively under productive, making films that are usually a massive waste of your time watching.
Watch The Revenant instead, excellent performances from Tom Hardy (better than Di Caprio who won an Oscar) and Di Caprio, a really violent film in context (in context!), set in a similar period with 70mm photography which is actually useful in the film unlike in Hateful Eight where they spend most of their time indoors.
I wonder if you can tell that I really disliked this hopeless effort of a film and that's 3 b'stard hours I wasted on this substandard effort from a director that hasn't really done anything worthwhile since Pulp Fiction over 20 years ago. CRAP! GRRR!

Loved it personally, amazing perfomances (especially Goggins).

I'm a big fan of QT, but yeah - it's not his best. It's better than "Death Proof" and his part of "Four Rooms" though.

Definitely agree. One of his weakest films but still better than most films these days. I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Felt like the whole cinema was on edge throughout, full attention was given to what happens next. Not to mention hilarious, at times.
Tarantino is (still) a breath of fresh air.

I enjoyed it, but I don't think its the kind of film I'd watch again.
