Almost as good as the 50in version from Currys recently, after Priority Moments discount was 429.99

That was a good deal...
If you spend the points on something you actually need, this works out marginally cheaper but I'd have gone with the 50" if it were still available.

Never taken an extended warranty. My current Samsung is a Plasma that's about 6 years old & I've been deciding what to replace it with. Nothing wrong with it, just time to upgrade.
You are legally allowed to return the goods within the first six years, although you have to prove faults are not because of general wear and tear. So if your television packs up at two years old, you could reasonably argue that as a big ticket purchase, such an item should have an expected life far longer than 2 years.
You are within your rights to go back to the manufacturer or shop and demand a replacement or that it is fixed.

I am not sure that is true, most manufacturers will cover you for a year or two while item is under warranty & then legally they are not bound to cover you for any faults ? I will be interested to know where have you got your info from?
Opening post
Use the code "MARCH2016" for this price.
