The 2010is are excellent performers and set the standard at this price and size level" What Hi-Fi? Sound & Vision magazine.
Affordable quality
The Q Acoustic 2010i standmount speakers are a quality pair of compact speakers at a surprisingly affordable price. Designed by true hi-fi enthusiasts, the 2010i use excellent quality components for the price.
Smooth treble response
The soft dome tweeter with a smooth, sweet sound is the ideal match for most budget amplifiers, which can be a little rough in their music handling. The new tweeter unit is also decoupled from the rest of the cabinet, so it isn't affected by vibration from the bass woofer unit - an impressive touch at this price.
Revised bass woofer for superior integration
Combined with a redesigned crossover, the up-rated woofer unit now integrates with the treble for a smoother and more seamless mid-range. The bass unit may be small, but its long-throw design also offers up a surprising amount of power for its size.
Class-leading construction quality
In addition to sounding better than most speakers at this price the Q 2010i is also better finished. Flush-mounted drive units and curved edges not only improve the aesthetics but also help the sound.
Perfectly sized to be used either on their own in a small room or as part of a home cinema package, Q here for the informed choice of small speaker.

the bigger 2020's are great as the front L&R, 2010's are great surrounds. 2000ci for the centre and you have a great surround system.

Small size speakers never going to get close to big ones.
No mater of the brand and money spend.

My mistake sorry, still a great buy though. They are still £99 on JL site and the other colors go to £164. That why i made the mistake.
John Lewis speakers are the 2020i, these are the 2010i. Which are the better speakers?

I have 2010's which are really great; but 2020i's have both High and Low frequency connections, so are even better. I am very tempted to upgrade my front pair! Good find Op.

My Tv is in the corner on a stand that has a vesa mount and their is no room i have every gadget their it the stand is full and because of the location wall mounting for the fronts is out of the question, ive always wanted some big floor standing speakers but my lounge doesn't have the space in the right areas to fit them. On my stand i have the Bostons on the middle shelf and on the top shelf above i have the Onkyo Atmos speakers as they are meant to be over the left and rights and mounted under the TV i have the center channel. Im tempted to get a pair of each and figure it out after but to be fair the Bostons sound great and fill the room and are very loud and the Sub shakes the room so i dont really need to upgrade but when you are into home AV you always want something better than you have.

Not really true.
There is only really small difference between 2020i and 2010i.
They both need subwoofer as this size of the driver and enclosure will never produce deep bass.
While played with sub 99% of population will not here any difference.
Anyway.
They sound great but looks even better in white gloss.
Grey ones looks just average

For anyone interested, these speakers are 4 ohm.

Superb speakers for this price, I've got the newer 3010s and they're excellent. Nearly went for 2020s but they were too big to use as PC speakers on a desk.

More current needed to drive a 4 ohm speaker, just check that your amp or Av receiver will accept 4ohm speakers.
