The console has been discontinued, and most places are now out of stock, so it'll probably not get any cheaper than this for a new version.
-Plays the majority of PS Vita games
-Also plays PSP and PS1 games
-Supports PS4 remote play at up to 720p/60fps
-Includes voucher code for Worms Revolution Extreme, Velocity Ultra & OlliOlli
The console requires either a PS3 or PS4 controller, and if you want to download games you'll need to get a memory card - you can pick up an 8Gb card for around £10 if you don't mind re-downloading, but a larger size would obviously be better.
The trade-in value at CeX is currently £28.

it's a great little box sploit by Sony's insistence of proprietary media, just like the Vita. should've used SD cards :disappointed:

Good post - might invest in a few of these to try to drain some more value from the Vita. Only bought 3 games for it (Little Big Planet, Persona 4 and Tearaway) plus the PS+ games, looks like there's more quality out there than I realised.

Seen as this is a dead console, the price will soon drop even further especially with no more stock being shipped to Game. They will do whatever to get rid of the stock they have, so I'd wait.

Given that new stock is limited and it is only £30 - personally I'd recommend picking one up now if you want one.

I looked for a few weeks for another PS TV earlier this month. This was before they announced they won't be making any more. No stock could be found online. No stores in my area had any stock since Christmas. I had to settle to getting a second hand one from CEX for £35 which was brand new from what I could tell. Console looked untouched and the free games inside had not been opened or redeemed.
I agree if there is any stock to be found they may lower the price down even more. But actually finding stock won't be to easy.

The price can also go up since it will allow you to play PS Vita games without the Vita...

Is the memory card for this a normal one or Sony one? I'm assuming sony given the referenced price of £10 for 8gb.
Am i able to just swap the one in my vita between it and this?
Tempted just to be able to play danganronpa on the big screen.

They use proprietary Vita memory cards, so the 64Gb card is about £65-70...
I believe you can swap the memory card between Vita and PSTV as long as they're both set to the same region, but your icon layout will reset.
The European version of the first Danganronpa isn't compatible, but the US version is btw.
If you use the LAN port (or at least disable the default 'use wi-fi in low power mode' option), then it's pretty good now they added support for 60fps. Obviously, some games work better with added latency than others - you'll find a driving game much worse than a JRPG, for example.

Anyone had any success playing Ps4 through one of these? What's it like lag wise?

The lag made it unplayable for me

It's definitely laggy, I run steam link through exactly the same set up and lag is not noticeable even at 1080p.
Having said that I've played a few single player games and just about playable as long as it's not a game requiring fast reactions. And also use it to farm Gp on PES MyClub

Sony are working on an app for Windows for playing PS4 remotely. Given cheap Windows boxes will probably handle that app fine I would wait for that option (and see if they can keep the lag minimal) as most people say this is too laggy.

I've tried a few different games and not seen any lag issues at all. My PS4 is hard wired on Gigabit ethernet to a switch in my loft with the wireless access point next to it. PSTV is connected wirelessly.

Lag wise it was fine for me (fully wired cat6 network) but the colour and brightness of the image were way off making it unusable for some games as made them too dark etc

It's perfect for some. It's unplayable for others. Don't think you'll know for yourself until you try it I'm afraid.

I often use mine for PS4 with a wired connection. No problems at all works well.
