Anyone thinking of buying, according to the Phillips website:
This TV has a known HDMI issue, we are aware of this issue and it's under investigation.

Given that the human can only read 10-12 images per a second( that's 1 every 100 ms) you'd have to have some pretty incredible eyes to consider 6ms "slow".
Your name Clark Kent by any chance?

would also like to know, From the argos page it says:
LED TV Screen.
4K Ultra HD display resolution.
Screen size: 55 inches.
Motion rate 400Hz.
Response time 6 milliseconds.
Viewing angle 178/178 degrees.
Resolution 3840 x 2160 pixels.
no idea if response time 6ms is 1) real 2) any good though
I would also like to know whether it has HDMI CEC and if it can play 4k content over a HDMI input e.g. an Amazon Fire box. Just going through the Q&A on the Argos site now

6ms? I'm going to throw in an uneducated guess here and say that's pretty unlikely for gaming. Would be great if it was, but that's way faster than pretty much every competing product - and most gaming monitors, if I'm not mistaken.

It's 4K, so no. The PS4 has to upscale 900p to 1080p for a lot of games, 4K is too far from it's capabilities.

Can't see it being a problem. A lot of people complaining that it's "slow" but certainly not for console games.
Considering the PS4 will never output at a framerate higher that 60 frames per second, which works out at a frame drawn on screen every 16.6ms then this TV has a fast enough response time to comply.
PC gaming is only really affected by response time as gaming mice have ultra high polling rates so PC games prefer 1ms so that the game responds as fast as they can move the mouse.
For consoles, there is already a slight latency from the controller to the system and this 6ms will not affect it at all.

Good TV, there does seem to be quality control issues however as a few people myself included had problems with HDMI ports not working, TV freezing up and becoming non responsive. I exchanged mine for a replacement and zero issues thus far.
HDMI CEC yes.
4k via HDMI yes, watched Daredevil on 4k Netflix via Nvidia Shield TV.

Off topic, but, I have a 4K TV and the Shield. Don't have Netflix, but would consider it. What is the best way to watch some 4K stuff? Do you have to pay extra for it on Netflix?

The Phillips brand makes it look like more of a deal than it actually is.
Not necessarily "made" in China:
TPV has five factories in China, two in Brazil, one in Poland and one in Russia, and sells its products worldwide.
TPV are the largest computer monitor manufacturer in the world. They also have the AOC brand.
If Apple can have their products manufactured to a high standard in China, I'm comfortable with TPV making a monitor there.
The stigma about Chinese electronics is surely outmoded these days?

Sorry dude but that not fast at all, i would not recommend this TV for gaming you will get nothing but blur on a screen that size. I would live one if it was a bit better.
