Time to cut the cord. Paying virgin 90 quid a month for everything and just end up watching repeats on uk gold and comedy central.

Its crazy.. you effectively have sky for a year (entertainment pass) at £40 !!! that's what I've been doing and I'm completely happy with it and most of the box sets come back so if you've missed say the knick or boardwalk empire it's brilliant and the new update tells you what's good on catch up (bbc ect) :-) definitely wouldn't sign back up with sky .. They don't look after there customers

Sky will quickly offer you discounts when you cancel- you may in some circumstances have to wait until it is turned off, but normally they will come back before- if they do, don't accept the first offer. You will get it for £30 a month again I have little doubt. Record the call though as twice I had them promise me something then backtrack- the ones who call you to get you to resign up are on commission and cannot be trusted. In the end Sky would not agree with me they had offered me HD (which they definitely had) so I insisted they get the call recording - which they then claimed they had lost. Told them to get stuffed and have not been a Sky customer since, more fool them.

give them a call speak to cancellations and they will put the price down to 30 again, they only want you to sign another 1year contact. Nowhere cheaper than that. I just done the same.

You can get that down to £46 if you ACTUALLY cancel and wait for the call... or £40 for slightly less channels.

If you lose your remote again, give them a ring and they'll send out a new one free. We have 3 boxes and lost 2 remotes and they replaced both.

Yeah I threatened them about cancelling back in December saying I was annoyed long-time subscribers subsidise the new-comers. The guy wasn't bothered. Rang up again last week and I was given a ten pound discount. I won't be popular if there's no tv in the house.
