I bought these last feb and put..
Lamp 1. 4x D cell Duracell Alkaline (still going strong)
Lamp 2. 4x D cell rechargeable (needs charging every 4 months)
Lamp 3. 8x AA Eneloop Rechargeable in D cell adapter (needs charging every month)
admittedly they are in different positions and get different usage but the Duracell lamp is in the most used area and turns on the most. I try to use rechargeable every where but I think in this instance the alkaline batteries are better value.
Also be careful when you take the light part out of the bracket as the face part can pop off. If you drop it it will stop working as they are fragile.

Possibly not, but definitely worth the deal price. I have one and will be buying a set of 3.

Probably not but I'm pretty pleased with my 3 from last time they were on offer at this price. The brown is very dark (nearly black) but the sensor range is good and light output excellent. Register on Mrbeams.co.uk to extend warranty to two years.

Just ordered these. Been looking at the solar powered ones for a while but hadn't considered these. having seen the battery life and improvement in lighting I thought, why the hell not? Thanks for the deal
