Nice bit of kit apart from the bags. Bags? Really? In 2016? May be of interest to some 1970/80's enthusiasts....

Have owned both makes. Miele by a mile. Much higher quality, more solid construction, bette grade plastics and will last for years. Don't be fooled by the bagless hype. It's a dirty, unpleasant job emptying the cylinder - if you do it inside the dust flies everywhere, if you go outside there is a good chance a change in wind will blow it all over you! Branded bags for Miele are expensive but you can find good quality clones on ebay and amazon.

Some people don't like dust leaking Dysons when emptying.

What are you on about? Much less hassle with bags. Our Miele is over 10 years old now and is still as good as new. Good luck with your Dyson.

And you think a Dyson is better?

I have the compact - it is amazing. The power is fantastic, and I have to put the power lower, as I am worried it'll rip up the laminate! Great on the rugs and the carrier, too. I would expect this model to be the same.

yes this a great hover. Bags actually make it more powerful then a bagless one.
Any body knows where you can get reasonable replacement bags? Not Meile.

I get these for my Miele cat and dog model, bargain £2.86 for 5 delivered
I wouldn't use generic bags as they won't have the same quality of seal or air filtration. The bags aren't that expensive when you look at how many you will use over the year anyway.
