It's very good but for the extra £3 I'd rather have the Quarter Cask from Amazon. It's a different beast altogether - 8% stronger too!

Medical note: You shouldn't be drinking or eating anything that tastes of peat. Just a note for the alcoholics out there.(aka whisky drinkers).

Not just whisky drinkers though...go to the north-west of Scotland and a lot of the drinking water comes out of the taps a fetching shade of brown...I can guarantee you that's had more exposure to peat than whisky, where the barley is malted over a peat fire (no physical contact between the two).

It's more concentrated and strong. Despite no age statement, quarter cask is preferred for peaty whisky fans.
