Available from 04/04/16 to members - not a bad peaty Islay, especially at this price.

If you are new to whisky I would advise trying this before splurging... It's an extremely acquired taste and to new drinkers can taste more like some kind of medicine or antiseptic! Personally I am a fan of peaty stuff but just using this as a chance to offer a bit of warning!

Costco also seem to always have Llagavulin for £40 including VAT, always seems a decent price for one you don't see on offer that much

And they ship the water from Fiji?
Decent tipple and bargain compared to elsewhere. Drink with a nip of water.

But surely they add shed loads of aluminium to the drinking water to make it sparkling and not brown? .. Alzheimer's or brackish water?.. Mmm decisions decisions .

Medical note: You shouldn't be drinking or eating anything that tastes of peat. Just a note for the alcoholics out there.(aka whisky drinkers).

Not just whisky drinkers though...go to the north-west of Scotland and a lot of the drinking water comes out of the taps a fetching shade of brown...I can guarantee you that's had more exposure to peat than whisky, where the barley is malted over a peat fire (no physical contact between the two).

I got the Quarter Cask a few weeks back from Amazon (£25, back in stock now I think)...took a few weeks to arrive at the time. Sent on to my brother who loves Laphroaig!

It's expensive for a NAS, just like Talisker storm/skye these are nearly always found somewhere on offer for £25 - £15 below list price, which is what they are probably worth

Yes, it is expensive.

It's more concentrated and strong. Despite no age statement, quarter cask is preferred for peaty whisky fans.

It's very good but for the extra £3 I'd rather have the Quarter Cask from Amazon. It's a different beast altogether - 8% stronger too!
