I think some Halal labelled sweets in Asda/Tesco were also vegetarian at one point.

Watch on youtube "Food Unwrapped", the gelatine (in sweets) can come from pig skin, the Channel 4 programme shows a mega sized German factory processing tons and tons of pig skins. Gelatine is pure pork protein.
