At risk of seeming a little arch, but when you're writing sentences like that you'd think that having fewer words on the front of packets would be a welcome relief.

The relevance of chocolate eggs at easter is to ensure children become obese and diabetic, thus experiencing suffering in their lives the same as Jesus did.

Without wanting to sound pedantic, my understanding of Easter is that it was meant to commemorate the suffering of Christ and dying for us. That is according to Christian belief and I am not religious myself. However at no point do I remember reading about how his disciples consoled themselves by tucking into a big chocolate egg for comfort food. Chocolate itself not being invented until after the industrial revolution in Europe many centuries later. So I would say not calling it an Easter egg is probably less to do with political correctness than might be thought and actually preserves the real culture and tradition of Easter more than Cadburys and mars culture. Like I said I am not religious and could not care less if you call it an Easter egg or a 'gift of future diabetes by encouraging mass consumption of unnecessary refined sugars' but find it so amusing that people can get so worked up over the rebranding of confectionery while people are dying in wars and our civil liberties are being eroded without the same irate anger. #perspective

They'll stop printing the words 'Christmas tree' on our Christmas trees next. It's political correctness gone mad.
