I felt some kind of impending doom after receiving the dreaded letter from three a few weeks back. Tried bartering with them, got nowhere, PAC code received.
I've been with EE for 2 days after getting this deal, and all I can say is thank you three for forcing me to stumble upon a far superior service where I live! I did have a concern about losing the AYCE data but three confirmed during the bartering that I'd never even gone over 4GB in a month, all the time I was with them. 16GB will be fine.
After joining Three a couple of years back, I got call from T-mobile retentions offering me stupidly cheap deals to stay with them. Took them up on one with a small allowance and gave it to my dad, it's kept him happy the last couple of years and only costs about £5 pm. It sure came in handy getting this for £16.49 without questions being asked.
All in all, the three letter I had been dreading for the last 12 months didn't turn out too bad after all. Thanks Three!

Called EE and asked for this deal on my existing sim, they said it is only available for an additional line. So I asked for a PAC code.
An hour later, I got a call from EE retentions offering me the same deal but with 18GB for £15.49. Took that and very happy indeed! Worth a try for anyone else on a rolling contract at the moment.

Tried to see if I could switch my contract to this, but unfortunately I'm a month away from being allowed to upgrade.
BUT, I did receive great customer service which finished like this...
However the EE deal is better if minutes are important. I'd argue just make VOIP calls using Whatsapp, Facebook or Skype when chatting to family and friends.

Friends & Family discount of 40% is no more, it's 30% now :disappointed:

called them for the plan and said I have family and friends 40%discount, in reply I was told I would lose the 40% discount as this offer is already discounted.

You should, £20 unlimited everything is really good. You could also go to three, for £20 you get unlimited data as well. Plus with giffgaff the service is better as it's run off of O2, plus there is free giffgaff to giffgaff once you top up. If I'm honest EE is a scam, when it was orange it was good, but, now it's just way too expensive.
