I felt some kind of impending doom after receiving the dreaded letter from three a few weeks back. Tried bartering with them, got nowhere, PAC code received.
I've been with EE for 2 days after getting this deal, and all I can say is thank you three for forcing me to stumble upon a far superior service where I live! I did have a concern about losing the AYCE data but three confirmed during the bartering that I'd never even gone over 4GB in a month, all the time I was with them. 16GB will be fine.
After joining Three a couple of years back, I got call from T-mobile retentions offering me stupidly cheap deals to stay with them. Took them up on one with a small allowance and gave it to my dad, it's kept him happy the last couple of years and only costs about £5 pm. It sure came in handy getting this for £16.49 without questions being asked.
All in all, the three letter I had been dreading for the last 12 months didn't turn out too bad after all. Thanks Three!

Called EE and asked for this deal on my existing sim, they said it is only available for an additional line. So I asked for a PAC code.
An hour later, I got a call from EE retentions offering me the same deal but with 18GB for £15.49. Took that and very happy indeed! Worth a try for anyone else on a rolling contract at the moment.

Tried to see if I could switch my contract to this, but unfortunately I'm a month away from being allowed to upgrade.
BUT, I did receive great customer service which finished like this...
My 1st generated bill was for £35, took a couple of days and a few phone calls to CS before the issue was sorted out and the bill adjusted.
A few days later, out of the blue, I had a call from a manager at EE. She had listened to all of the calls I'd made, was very apologetic about certain staff not doing their job properly, and just wanted to make sure things were OK. It was quite refreshing to see such proactive customer service.
The experience ended very well after the initial stress and a £20 discount was added to my account, without even asking for it.

I had to call them twice, before "cancellation team" offered me this plan. I wanted to switch to "pay as You go" before I definitely move to other provider, but then it was hard to resist U/U/30gb, 0800 free.. One year contract, then rolling monthly.

I left three for this deal and was worried about making the wrong decision, especially as I was offered 30gb for £20 from three. But, the internet on EE has been far superior. I'm getting 50 meg speeds at home, faster than my broadband and faster than the 7meg I was getting in three. I will miss the roaming data when abroad but new European laws being introduced next year will allow roaming at no charge (assuming we say in the EU)

Was about to go to EE and phoned up to 3. Abigail from retention team offered me U/U/30 for 20 quid from 12 months. Could not resist 30 GB offer and same price as EE as i would be new customer. Just to let you know.

I have this. Ordered at £19.99 but in my plan summary it's £29.16 aka £34.99 inc VAT. Spoke to someone on live chat who had no idea, told me to ring 150. Spoke to someone on the phone who had no idea telling me to email my proof of order to [email protected].
Why are phone companies so terrible?

Just apply then wait, what have you got to lose, I was not a customer I was on a TPO 4gb package once you have your contract they cannot change it until the 12 months is up.
It's 16.49 I doubt they even give a damn, if your concerned just get the deal in the other thread with redemption, that's even cheaper

Getting slightly concerned with how EE have dealt with this
My billing information now says I am on a 2 year contract and that it is 34.99
I also just received a text saying that I had previously recieved a text stating that 3 months would be half price and that this was incorrect and my bill will be £19.99 on the above tarif
I'm a little bit worried as I spoke to the billing department and they seemed absolutely clueless...
Anybody else in a similar situation?

- might be a silly question to some but what if you were with Orange a while ago, can i use that number to get this deal, do they send a text to confirm to that number?
- what if its a payg sim which is a few weeks old as in got the EE sim a few weeks ago?
- how long when you sign up on their website does it take to get the sim?

It's because there are two distinct teams who handle this - firstly, Retentions who you'd think would want to try and keep you but they can only offer so much. If they fail, and you get your PAC code, then there's a Refuse To Lose team who selectively (so I'm told) contact customers after this point who are much smaller but have better deals. Only the latter can offer the £25.99 > £15.99 18GB deal.

I signed up for this last week after getting the dreaded Oneplan letter from 3. I got my first bill paper bill/confirmation through the post for £35/month despite having the email confirmation of £20/month. Just had to ring EE to query. Anyone else had this issue?
Also transferred my number from 3 yesterday, but now have two active SIM (old 3 and new EE) cards with the same number for outgoing calls, but incoming texts and calls still going to old SIM . What a faff! Anyone has this issue too?

Guy was keen to do a deal and I told him I was a broadband customer (note the use of the past tense WAS - he never bothered to check) was offered 16GB, unltd text and minutes, 12 months contract £16.49 - happy days ! Got the Three "you're better off paying more for less" letter and requested my PAC from them. The One Plan has been good for a couple of years, but not by doubling the monthly charge...
I also have a rare Orange contract gathering dust from around 2000, which makes me an existing customer - anyone remember Orange OVP Virgin?
The EE site recognises the number and has applied the 10% multi plan discount.
Before I push the buy button however, I'm trying to find out if it's possible to buy from Mobile Phones Direct (for their cashback), but still get the EE multi plan discount applied?

My brother was due an upgrade on EE and called them up but they only offered £19.99 deal immediately, which he then asked for the PAC code.
A few hours later another team from EE called and offered £15.99 for 18gb unld mins/texts for 12 months.
I had a PAYG sim from the 100gb deal a few months ago. I logged into the account i created online and went through the payment process for the £16.49 sim. I received a confirmation email for the order, but it asked me to ring them up.
I rang them a few hours later and went through some questions and they identified i was on PAYG sim but went ahead with the order anyway (maybe i was just lucky). I have just received the sim and logging on to the the ee app it says its £16.49 (£34.99 with £10 off, £5 off loyalty discount and 10 percent discount).

This is what I did, but I never had a previous contract or PAYG Sim with EE, I didn't call either I just left it and they automatically accepted my order but I did receive the "please call us" email.
Just an update the speeds are amazing, I ran a speed test in the pub last night and got 60 down 40 up, my work phone is on EE 4G and I have never seen above 30, so this double speed is great
That was my logic too, nothing to lose by asking for PAC, worst case I'd have stayed with what I had or left.... if you need some screenshots I can oblige.
When I asked for PAC I was offered 16GB for £19.99 and nothing better.... a day later retentions called and imemditely offered £15.99 for 18GB and unlimited calls/txt (technically it's a £25.99 for 10GB tariff)

Just applied for my PAC code. The guy was like "Well, you're taking a gamble as Retentions [or the Refuse To Lose team, as he called it] may call you with that offer, they may not.." except I don't believe I have anything to lose by applying for the PAC since it'll automatically expire after 30 days and I'd still stay on the same contract as I'm on now.
If I know 18GB for £15.99 pm is available, then I'm going for it.

Existing EE customer, called for PAC yesterday and today got retentions calling, offered me £15.99 month for 18GB data and UL voice/txts. It's actually a £25.99 tariff with permanent £10 discount and 8GB free extra data, the helpful retention person said they can add and change packages such as this. My EE account shows the tariff as £25.99 / 10Gb and under the Add Ons it shows £10 loyalty discount and 8GB free UK data. I was assured this price would remain in place after 12 months and only have an RPI increase, the £10 discount would remain in place indefinitely.
EE12M SIM Only £25.99 / Plan summary
On this EE 12 Month SIM only plan you get double speed 4GEE, 10GB of data, unlimited minutes and texts in the UK to all major UK networks, voicemail and landlines starting 01, 02 and 03 (except Channel Islands & Isle of Man).
This was a good reason to stick with EE as my 12 month SIM only had come to the end of minumum term.

I ordered this last week (my company has a reward scheme which gets me 20% off monthly payment and and a further £30 cashback) and I received an email from EE asking me to ring a free phone number.
I called up, they needed to go through some details with me, and I asked a number of questions that I just wanted to confirm with people on here. I'm wary that companies will tell me what I want to hear, that and the lady I spoke to didn't seem all that clued up.
1). Because I'm moving from an Orange contract to an EE one they'll have to issue me with a temporary number but in a few days time it'll switch over to the number I'm using now. Is this right? She couldn't guarantee when it'll happen, just that it'll take days to port the number over...
2). She couldn't confirm if I should cancel my Orange direct debit or not but did say that when I activate my EE sim I should only be charged for that one, the Orange direct debit is automatically cancelled. Again, is this right or should I cancel the Orange one when I get my EE sim as a "just in case"
It's probably common sense, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks all.

i know its pedantic but a PUK or 'Personal Unlocking Key' is a security feature on most mobile devices that protects your SIM card data. A PUK code is required when a SIM Card PIN code has been entered incorrectly.
To transfer or 'port' your number, you ask your current mobile provider for a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) before your service is terminated.

Just jumped ship from Three yesterday, can't say I'm impressed with EE at all so far. They 'conviently' forgot to apply the discount for this offer so my bill was showing for the full amount of £34.99. After 4 phone calls each to different people 'touch wood' I have it sorted now and showing the correct price. It was too late however for them to amend the full price bill though and subsequently had to cancel that going out and pay by card. Just something to be aware of, yes for me EE have a better signal than Three ever did but was it worth moving, only time will tell. One last thing actually I have been told that the loyalty discount i.e. £15 to bring the tariff down to the advertised price of £19.99 does indeed only last 12 months so you would need to contact EE in month 11 to renegotiate your tariff.

Okay no worries - sounds like a very complicated way to put the plan together? - I'm not sure why EE won't budge on this. Spoke with Sales & Retentions, 16GB is the highest there willing to offer - slightly annoying! What should have gone in the other thread?

I have screenshots but can't be asked to upload this time of night. Had a look at my plan and it's originally a 10GB deal with a £10 loyalty add on and an add on for free 8gb of data. Also it's only a 12 month deal.

Called EE a couple hours ago to get my PAC code. Was due for an upgrade on my SIM only contract anyway so was offered same deal as above without cashback or to take out a new line for £16.49. Decided to go with the PAC code but had yet to order the above deal.
But just received a call from retentions to offer me £15.99 for 18GB data and unlimited calls and texts if I stuck with them (which I was more than happy to do!). Just got this tdeal today off the back of my daughter's sim only contract with E.E (that I pay for) plus the 1st month free after mentioning that I could save £20 if I took out the contract online using Quidco. Now to phone 3 with the good news. Thanks OP.

Too many comments in this for me to read them all at the moment, so my apologies if this has been mentioned already.
I spoke to EE yesterday & was told I can convert my current contract to PAYG, purchase this additional line deal & then swap the numbers. So that's an "upgrade" to (for me anyway) unlimited everything & EE Extra with EU roaming included. And possibly TCB on top - we'll see about that last 1!!

If you currently have an EE sim it should be an easy conversion. They upgraded my contract over the phone and I didn't have to do anything.

Sounds dodgy.
Had the "Call us on this number to discuss details of your order" last night as I said I was an existing customer and put in my PAYG sim as the existing number. Rang them up today, the guy says you can't be a PAYG customer and get this. Told him to cancel the order cos I may go through TCB or Quidco if I want to order as a new customer and wish to get cashback

TCB now showing as £36.75, so not as good as before but still a good saving off the £19.99 a month, should it go through OK.
Interesting move by EE and TCB... call me a cynic but I reckon they have had a lot of interest in this £16.49 deal and potential new customers questioning the difference between this and the £19.99. So try to sweeten the deal the cashback has been added.
The difference is that in 12 months EE will have a lot of customers on £19.99 per month rolling 30 day contracts, and the potential (it's impossible to say what will happen) for them being stuck as there might be no better alternative. Pretty smart bit of marketing if that's the intention.

So, I phoned back, told him about what the guy said. He said there is a note on the system saying I can get this deal in the last 30 days of my contract. Then he offered me another deal. £17.99 p/m for 20gb data, unlimited calls and texts..............................I took it. Double checked too, it isn't a new contract. Just asked what happens at the end of my contract, said the price will continue on 30 days. Note in the system too

Well, told them about my current plan and the one I saw online. Told them about the BT deal. Spoke to retentions, the advisor said he'd be happy to do it now but he can't because I'm still in my SIMO contract, but that he can do it for my upgrade date in 2 months time...........
thinking to give them a call back, since it sounds like they want to price match whatever BT deal is floating about then. He said to call them back in June and they'll add it. Since I don't believe there is a note in the system on my account, sounds like I've been fobbed off? Will call them back in a few hours

I detest EE, .. tried to get this today in an EE store, they will NOT honour the deal (at 16.49) as its ONLY for an additional SIM and not as a replacement. My contract is up so all I wanted to do was cancel mine and take this sim on a sim only contract. Worse, they then told me that even if I wanted it at the 19.99 they cannot let me keep my number as thats not allowed. They cant do EE to EE number keeping . Completely and Utterly useless...
busterdan to Lazyoaf
3 Apr 16#229
It's all very well moaning but you've gone about it the wrong way.... for starters the terms and conditions are very clear.... EXTRA LINE ONLY at the £16.49 price.
The stores have no control over this, they have overheads and have to pay the staff commission.
As you are no longer in contract you have to call them and say you plan to cancel and request a PAC code. after 24-48 hours their outbound team will call and at that point you can tell them how you wanted this deal but was prevented from doing so. Only they will be able to give you this deal, no other team in EE will do it.
I suggest you hurry up or the deal may go, of course you could try a different provider but you will struggle to get the same amount of data and a service (in terms of coverage and speed) as EE.

I think i will opt for a sim only deal when mine comes to an end in less that a year. Paying £30 a month for a phone contract is just too much ( just got an s5 ) how some people pay £50 a month i dont know but its their choice even if most of them are probably on benefits.
galactus2013
3 Apr 16#233
The only thing I know for certain is that a contract does not end until the PAC code is USED. I have no idea if the network has the right to demand payment of the contract in full before they issue the PAC code.
My data use always goes up in the summer (more traveling). I'm going to phone them ul today again and see. Like I said the previous advisor was very grumpy and seemed annoyed I did not want to buy an Osprey o_O
Edit: According to ofcom website
jmn16091990
3 Apr 16#232
It is my belief that attaining ones pac code doesn't break the contract. Only when you give it to another provider are you ending it early. I've attained several pac codes, and I used to work in the industry. I've never had to pay to get a pac code but any remaining contract time is added to the final bill which you only receive when your account is closed AFTER handing it to a new provider.
I'm sure if they had an awkward staff member and if they tried again I think they would get their pac code.

3 Apr 16#230
It's not rubbish he's in contract, to break the contract early you have to pay the sums owed, they will not give you a pac code until that's done. I'd suggest he holds on, the data amount is fine apparently and by August there may be better deals anyway.

Here's what you can do. ... take out the additional EE line and then convert your existing line to pay as you go. Keep both lines active to be on safe side.
Furthermore, I spoke to EE today and they said I could cancel my existing line after taking out the additional one without affecting the price plan of my new additional line. I spoke with 2 separate customer service reps and they both said the same. One of them explained the only thing that matters is having an existing line at the time of taking out the additional line. It does not matter what you do with your existing line thereafter. This all sounds too good to be true so I would still check their terms and conditions to be on the safe side.

Lol when I threatened to leave Three for Vodafone a couple of months ago the guy I spoke to kept banging on about how dishonest Vodafone are and how their £20 deal was priced to try and steal customers from Three.
He didn't sound too pleased when I told him that yes, I did realise this, and that it was clearly working. He then went on about how Vodafone would bump up the price by loads a few months in and how they had terrible customer service.
Sounds like they have a script of negative things to say about each of their competitors that is vaguely based on those companies' reputations.
Agreed! The Three retentions guy tried the dishonesty line with me too, emphasing how open and honest Three were compared to other companies. It was at this point I reminded him why he and I were speaking in the first place, i.e. that I was just about to cancel 2 contracts with Three because they had been dishonest by removing my discount they had assured me would remain in place as long as I stayed with them. All fun and games!

Three offered me a similar deal to stay based on an 'exclusive' discounted offer. I asked them how long this offer would remain in place, i.e. as they were literally about to remove my previous loyalty discount and double my tariff, and they could not guarantee that it would be forever, I really had to push him to admit this though. Three have annoyed me because they told me, and other people I know, that the loyalty discount applied a couple of years ago would remain in place as long as I stayed with Three. It was therefore a no brainer to leave them when they reneged on this.
The retentions guy at Three then had the audacity to tell me how EE are not upfront with their customers, claiming they sign customers up on 4GEE plans to then drop the service to a fraction of the speed partway through each month. This kind of talk really surprised me from Three and got on my nerves so I advised him he should be careful with such speculative anti-competitive comments about a competitor and that I would be passing his personal comments directly to the Sales Advisor I dealt with at EE, at which point he tried to backtrack.
Finally, I've seen a friend's iPhone 6 on 4GEE running a speedtest next to my iPhone 6 on Three's 4G in various parts of London and EE literally blows Three out of the water, so I'm very happy to be joining EE.

Not bad at all really! Especially if it includes tethering. I opted for the BT one. Same tariff but an extra 4gb a month for £16 - £44 TCB too. (Potentially a £40 amazon too but don't hold any hope for this).
Since it's now the same company, I'd imagine the service will be the same.

Thought it was pretty decent, yep - tethering allowed. They also allow tethering on the AYCE data plan but up to 30GB only. I don't have any BT services at home so would come to £21 if I recall correctly.
EE is a lot faster in the vast majority of areas I go hence the desire to move as Three gets painfully slow when I'm out and about.

31 Mar 16#188
No, it is 19.99 + 23.56 = 43.55 but, if I calculate the figure over the 24 months and remove the cost of the phone to buy separately at circa £560 then the monthly cost is actually 11.09 pcm therefore:
19.99+11.09=£31.08 with no phones.
shortguy4u
31 Mar 16#187
Thank you very much. So do you pay £23.58 pm for you and the sharer?
alexjameshaines
31 Mar 16#186
I've always had a sharing plan but it was costing me £37.99 + £22 for the sharer on 10gb ee+ (included an s4 and s5 at the time).
Now I've got the £19.99 main plan as this offer (16GB Unlimited) and then a GS7 & Sharer Sim for £23.56 with an upfront fee. Saving me a lot of dosh.
To answer your question yes the sharer sim uses the main sims data and min / text allowance so as that is unlimited min / text the only real allowance shared is the data
So £19.99 x 12 = £239.88 - £45.45 = 194.43
£194.43/12 = £16.20, you'll essentially get the same deal as existing customers.
Someone else will have to confirm if it tracks however.

Heads up, this may or may not work for you. I have an existing T-Mobile account and tried to buy this EE offer for my wife. Long story short, I called EE earlier today to check on the order and they said the 1st SIM must be EE to take a 2nd SIM at £16.49, so instead they offered me £19.99. I said I would get back to them.
Then i logged onto my t-mobile account and pressed web chat in the upgrades section. I simply asked the guy to check my order and they confirmed the same issue, however this time the guy offered to open a new account with the same offer for £16.49.

Also, I just rang to get my pac code. They offered me the £19.99 and I said I wanted less (I can get F&F at O2 so £14.50 for 10GB) but they just gave me my pac code.
I called two weeks ago and was offered £22.99 for 10GB as a retention deal so 16GB for £19.99 is a good deal!

Hi there thanks for that. I'm going to pop into EE this weekend to confirm but looking through various forums it does look like the answer is yes.

Just rang EE and got the 16.49 sim on 3 separate contracts! Be polite and say you saw this deal on a deal website. If this fails mention the BT offer of 20gb and unlimited for 16.....If this fails request the PAC code which doesn't cancel any existing contract and they should put you through to retentions.....if this fails then say no thank you and they should ring back.

31 Mar 16#159
Problem with 3 is they dont allow unlimited tethering, so in the deal you posted, only 30GB is able to be tethered.
Mobile operators are losing out on a niche market here with 4G replacing home broadband. If cable was not available where i live, i would only get 3MB speed ADSL, with 4G i can get 10X that. Tethering should be allowed on all networks.
You use 100GB a month on your phone, or 100GB using it as your internet tethering, no difference in cost of supplying that data to you, but companies can get away with charging more for tethering. Pray to god BT dont disable it on EE.
I have a Raspberry Pi computer doing kodi/streaming.. Would defo get another one to act as my router for a USB 4G wifi dongle if a plan was unlimited. No more line rental, the house phone calls now are mostly spam anyway.
Yeah, going to try the Voda 50GB one for April and hope something is put in place by EE. I never did the summer 100GB sims. What month did they start? Hoping not June/July.

31 Mar 16#147
Indeed! Now I'm confused! I still have the direct email address of the guy I signed up with, we specifically discussed this point and he told me it would revert to 30 day rolling at £16.49 in my case, only subject to RPI changes. The reason we discussed this in detail is that I too am one of the Three customers who received the letter of doom yesterday literally doubling my monthly rolling charge from £15 to £30 pcm (To$$ers!). I'm an original 'One Plan' customer. I'm happy to email the guy to confirm this and post back later when I get time, this could be a deal breaker for me as I've just moved two contracts from Three to this tariff on EE - there's always the cooling off period though.

my contract with ee is up tomorrow and decided to use the online chat to see if i could get for 16.49, they said no, that was only for additional line it is 19.99 a month
details below
Extra Plan - double speed 4G
16 GB data
Unlimited text messages
Unlimited minutes
12 months plan Use your minutes and texts in the EU
Now £19.99 (Was £34.99)
Hurry offer ends 14th April 2016
THE DATA COSTS EXTRA ABROAD
i am off opinion that as THREE has their feel at home package everyone should be doing this also to compete, but to use data for EE abroad is an extra charge whiich is a deal breaker for me (we live in belfast and my wifes family is in ROI, so would be down quite regularly and they are elderly with no wifi and no interest in getting wifi)
so after being with orange/ee for the guts of 15 years i will be moving on to three more than likely once a good sim only deal comes up for them

This is incorrect. The discount is on a £34.99 contract and only for the 12 months. So unless you call back and change to a different deal then it will change be a £34.99 rolling contract(unsure on the length of the £2.50 multiplan discount ).

This isn't true, the price will not go up to the £34.99 after the 12 months. I've literally just spoken to EE this afternoon where I asked this exact question. He advised that the price will remain at £16.49 or £19.99 (depending on your deal) and will only be subject to any Retail Price Index changes announced in February of each year, effectively applied to your tariff the following month, i.e. same as all mobile companies. If it reverted back to £34.99 after 12 months they would have to make this very clear on their website as they do with landline broadband, e.g. goes up by £10pcm after 6 months.

I've decided to go for this deal, although did it through the retentions team as I'm an existing customer and don't need a new line....
The advisor said it was pointless me cancelling one line to take a new line.
My existing package was 5GB (single speed 4G) and no EU calls/Texts for £10 pm.
I ran some speed tests before and after and to be honest there isn't much difference in my current area, although may be better or worse elsewhere....

To clarify spoke with EE just now £16.49 is for a second line to an existing contract, to upgrade it is £19.99 a month but if you use TCB you will get £47.25 back which they confirmed on phone which works out cheaper at £16.05 a month. Also you can not transfer your current EE number to a new EE contract so new number would be needed unless you upgrade via TCB and opt for the £19.99 option. Don't forget this also includes free EU texts and calls BUT NOT Data !! Hope this helps

I'm a bit confused with this deal reading some of the comments.
am I right in saying this is not a deal to upgrade my existing sim only deal to this, but a deal to add a second line. meaning I would need to pay both my current sim only deal, and this one.
JimDut to Deedie
30 Mar 16#49
Yes that's correct. The title is a little confusing and it's not even obvious on the EE website.
As I understand the idea is to get this for a partner or family member, just like getting a multi car insurance policy.
busterdan to Deedie
30 Mar 16#51
Yeah seems to be a second line to me (having looked at the EE page again).... clearly not so good.

Which is why some people are seeing £19.99 which is an upgrade offer they are running too.

I just gave EE a call.
I am an existing customer with 2 additional lines. I tried to get all 3 lines upgraded to this deal but they quoted £19.99. The price of £16.49 was only if I wanted to add another additional line.
May try ringing retentions tomorrow to see what they can do.

An hour later, I got a call from EE retentions offering me the same deal but with 18GB for £15.49. Took that and very happy indeed! Worth a try for anyone else on a rolling contract at the moment.

Why are phone companies so terrible?
It's 16.49 I doubt they even give a damn, if your concerned just get the deal in the other thread with redemption, that's even cheaper
Simple!!
Tried to get it last week, using my PAYG sim as an existing customer line. Got the "please call us" page. Called them up, was told PAYG sims don't qualify

I've noticed my phone battery is liking the change loads as not needing to hunt for signal so much.

Also transferred my number from 3 yesterday, but now have two active SIM (old 3 and new EE) cards with the same number for outgoing calls, but incoming texts and calls still going to old SIM . What a faff! Anyone has this issue too?
I also have a rare Orange contract gathering dust from around 2000, which makes me an existing customer - anyone remember Orange OVP Virgin?
The EE site recognises the number and has applied the 10% multi plan discount.
Before I push the buy button however, I'm trying to find out if it's possible to buy from Mobile Phones Direct (for their cashback), but still get the EE multi plan discount applied?
Main thing i want from EE would be is better speed and reception on my train ride to and from work, o2 in that area is dire. Will have to get a pay and go sim from o2 for o2 priority boots deal though :stuck_out_tongue:
Just an update the speeds are amazing, I ran a speed test in the pub last night and got 60 down 40 up, my work phone is on EE 4G and I have never seen above 30, so this double speed is great

When I asked for PAC I was offered 16GB for £19.99 and nothing better.... a day later retentions called and imemditely offered £15.99 for 18GB and unlimited calls/txt (technically it's a £25.99 for 10GB tariff)
If I know 18GB for £15.99 pm is available, then I'm going for it.
Thanks all.
To transfer or 'port' your number, you ask your current mobile provider for a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) before your service is terminated.
Just realised this should have gone on the other EE deal thread.
Unlimited call
Unlimited txt
Unlimited data
£15 a month.
Asked to end and they ask if I want a pac code. I said no, let it die.. they really do sucks with throttle and connection not as reliable as vodafone in London near Canary Wharf. They untethered andoid update from kitkat and never again.
But just received a call from retentions to offer me £15.99 for 18GB data and unlimited calls and texts if I stuck with them (which I was more than happy to do!). Saved me alot of hassle and a little more data too. Apparently I have been put on their £25.99 deal with £10 discount plus extra 2GB of data.
Phoned retentions and the best they can offer me is £16.49 for this deal.
Really don't want the hassle of porting away and back and changing numbers so may take them up on it...

At the end of the day it's no hassle doing it the way they've suggested to me, & I get TCB
I just ignored the call us email and 2 days later got a welcome to EE email, the sim in the post and will be here in 2 days.

The difference is that in 12 months EE will have a lot of customers on £19.99 per month rolling 30 day contracts, and the potential (it's impossible to say what will happen) for them being stuck as there might be no better alternative. Pretty smart bit of marketing if that's the intention.

2) Will the cashback firms pay out as technically taking a second line does not fall under the usual catch of new customers only.
Just asked what happens at the end of my contract, said the price will continue on 30 days. Note in the system too
thinking to give them a call back, since it sounds like they want to price match whatever BT deal is floating about then. He said to call them back in June and they'll add it. Since I don't believe there is a note in the system on my account, sounds like I've been fobbed off? Will call them back in a few hours
My data use always goes up in the summer (more traveling). I'm going to phone them ul today again and see. Like I said the previous advisor was very grumpy and seemed annoyed I did not want to buy an Osprey o_O
Edit: According to ofcom website
I'm sure if they had an awkward staff member and if they tried again I think they would get their pac code.
He didn't sound too pleased when I told him that yes, I did realise this, and that it was clearly working. He then went on about how Vodafone would bump up the price by loads a few months in and how they had terrible customer service.

"
when i phoned up , they said I wasn't an existing customer and I could only get it for £19.99 so I cancelled. :disappointed:
Would have much preferred to get something like this deal on EE as tethering is useful to have and so is wifi calling.
Oh well. There's always next year
The retentions guy at Three then had the audacity to tell me how EE are not upfront with their customers, claiming they sign customers up on 4GEE plans to then drop the service to a fraction of the speed partway through each month.
Since it's now the same company, I'd imagine the service will be the same.
EE is a lot faster in the vast majority of areas I go hence the desire to move as Three gets painfully slow when I'm out and about.
I can only see cashback on the £19.99 a month deal.
thanks
19.99+11.09=£31.08 with no phones.
£45.45
So £19.99 x 12 = £239.88 - £45.45 = 194.43
£194.43/12 = £16.20, you'll essentially get the same deal as existing customers.
Someone else will have to confirm if it tracks however.
Then i logged onto my t-mobile account and pressed web chat in the upgrades section. I simply asked the guy to check my order and they confirmed the same issue, however this time the guy offered to open a new account with the same offer for £16.49.
I called two weeks ago and was offered £22.99 for 10GB as a retention deal so 16GB for £19.99 is a good deal!
Ive read every comment on this thread and couldn't see an answer. I clicked the sim only option on tcb but it doesn't state new or existing. I could use a voucher code for the amazon or M&S £45.45 TCB is obviously better? HELP! :disappointed:
Thanks OP!
In other news it seems that EE is one of the companies that my employers have some rewards scheme with. It appears that I can get the £19.99 deal for £15.99. Nice.
any way around this does anyone know please?
12 months contract
Big thanks to busterdan for the help facilitating this ☺
Mobile operators are losing out on a niche market here with 4G replacing home broadband.

Does anyone know if I can simply upgrade from current sim only plan w/o having to switch sims?
especially as up and down to ireland so often
my contract with ee is up tomorrow and decided to use the online chat to see if i could get for 16.49, they said no, that was only for additional line it is 19.99 a month
details below

THE DATA COSTS EXTRA ABROAD
i am off opinion that as THREE has their feel at home package everyone should be doing this also to compete, but to use data for EE abroad is an extra charge whiich is a deal breaker for me (we live in belfast and my wifes family is in ROI, so would be down quite regularly and they are elderly with no wifi and no interest in getting wifi)
so after being with orange/ee for the guts of 15 years i will be moving on to three more than likely once a good sim only deal comes up for them
my current EE contract is due for upgrade on the 19th April!
I specifically asked this on the phone when I did it myself earlier.
I want to upgrade to a SIM only contract with a view to upgrading my phone once I've decided on which...
Thanks all.

Ta OP
An hour later, I got a call from EE retentions offering me the same deal but with 18GB for £15.49. Took that and very happy indeed! Worth a try for anyone else on a rolling contract at the moment.
Don't spend more than 1gb and am currently with Tesco so £16.50 at 16gb is a bit overkill but i'm sure I could use the data up in no time!
http://shop.ee.co.uk/sim-only/pay-monthly-phones
16.49 is great yes
However the EE deal is better if minutes are important. I'd argue just make VOIP calls using Whatsapp, Facebook or Skype when chatting to family and friends.
Free £30 M&S voucher with any EE 12 month SIMO contract on the £14.99+ tariff
Unlimited texts and calls, 20 GB of internet for £19.99
I would rather of gone for this though! Could I still change
Tried to get a different offer of 50GB data, 100 mins and 500 texts for £20 a month but they refused.
Unlimited txts and calls are no use to me. Not sure if i should go for this with TCB for £16.05 a month or risk going with Voda 50G for £10 this month then praying to god EE do another 100GB for £10.
The bottom 2 are on single speed..... the top two after I upgraded...

BUT, I did receive great customer service which finished like this...
Even with the friends and family discount, EE are not competitive.
They did offer a similar offer to bt @£19.99 with 20gb data, again with F&F removed.
Tried to call but lines are closed due to high demand!
Who uses a phone to talk these days anyway?
It costs £19.99 when you replace your existing plan.
I called retentions about the offer and they gave me 20 GB for £19.99 on a 12 month contract.
EE's customer service is amazing, so happy with them.
Do I need to be worried about the word shared? Is between all 3 lines? IF so not such s good deal.
am I right in saying this is not a deal to upgrade my existing sim only deal to this, but a deal to add a second line. meaning I would need to pay both my current sim only deal, and this one.

I am an existing customer with 2 additional lines. I tried to get all 3 lines upgraded to this deal but they quoted £19.99. The price of £16.49 was only if I wanted to add another additional line.
May try ringing retentions tomorrow to see what they can do.
This deal has tempted me away from three, I will miss data abroad but it beats paying £30 a month (as well as price)
Even on this link : http://shop.ee.co.uk/mobile-phone-deals/addline-deals

"Cancelling a plan
You must always have one plan on the account without a 10% Multiplan Saving - this is your qualifying plan.
So if you have just one discounted plan and you cancel the qualifying plan, the discount will end."
