Why is this lukewarm deal highlighted as a 'HUKD Pick' on the front page?
Is it because of the commission that GearBest pays to HUKD?
I used to like HUKD a lot, as it was a community driven forum that promotes genuine good deals / mispriced / shopping tricks etc.
However, as the site grows bigger and bigger and the profits paid by vendors' commission becomes more and more, this place seems no longer the same place that I knew few years ago...

If you look at reviews you'll find that this tablet has awful speakers, but the main issue that I have with this deal is that it's GearBest. Yes they often have some cheap deals, but their returns policy is pathetic.
If you have any issues with the tablet then GearBest will give you some options. You can either pay to send the tablet to China (even though you might of bought it from their UK or EU warehouse) and then get screwed over by them saying that they didn't receive it, or you can accept aprox £20 worth of "credit" that goes to your GearBest wallet and you also keep the defective tablet. None of their options result in you getting a fully working replacement for free.
Pay a little more and go with a company that isn't going to screw you over if you receive a defective product.

$56.61 for the keyboard so its actually a tablet not a ultrabook.

Yes, it will be like a number of these devices. Chuwi Hi8, Hi10, Vi8 and Vi10 all had the same feature. Usually it's swapped in the OS using a simple icon on the desktop/UI.
All told I don't think I would be willing to risk over £100 with Gearbest and getting no customer service.

They've been around for a few years now, & yes, I've ordered a few things from them in the past myself, & no issues either. :-)

Yes, I got a Meizu phone from them.
But the cheaper it gets - the more problem can occur with Chinese dealers.

hi. im always skeptical of these chinese sites i use wish. bangood and gearbest with no issues. ive ordered 3 things from gearbest. all 3 items were perfect. good communication instant replies to quiries. all 3 items were slow delivery but every time i emailed them they responded. id use them again no problem.

Have they fixed the overheating problems with these yet?
I was reading this week about a similar Onda Win10 tablet that can only be charged whilst in sleep mode, so be careful of the silly issues some of these Chinese tablets and phones can have. Gotta do your research on them.

fantastic specs for the price. ive ordered several cheaper items from gearbest with no issues. I believe they offer a postal insurance for a small fee to ensure against delivery issues for more expensive items.
