£50 for bike tyres... Back in the real world, I use a patch.
My tyres are 20years old and still going strong...

BS. Your bike must have been stuck in the garage for the last 20 yrs as well then.

So the patch goes on you when you come off in the wet I assume. Doesn't sound very cost effective to me....

In the real world this is how much you pay for quality cycling equipment. Why make a negative comment on a subject you clearly have little understanding of?

And in the actual real world where people use their bikes, our tyres would have worn through to the rim if we used the same tyres for 20 years. After a 1500 miles, my tyres are pretty worn through.....and that's about a years worth of cycling.

This is for a road bike - if you have one, you should be prepared to spend a bit more.
On a hybrid, tyres are a bit cheaper, but it still pays to go for quality.

These are cracking tyres, worth every penny. I personally prefer the 25s to give a bit more cushion but at this price you can't go wrong.

Thanks OP. Gone for a pair of 20mm at the same price. I know wider is more fashionable nowadays (and I run 25mm on my road bikes), but I still like skinny and high PSI for TTs. They may not be any faster, but I feel faster!

No, the shed. I'm not one of these aggressive cyclists that burns up tyres at the traffic lights. When I bought my Pugh racing classic, you were probably just a glint in the milkmans eye.

Hardly. I remember Choppers. Point is you obviously don't use it and the rubber will be hard and cracked. As for "burning rubber" at traffic lights...On a motorbike sure, but a push bike?! Lmao...
