"GEFORCE GTX 970 DIRECTCU II OC STRIX 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-EXPRESS GRAPHICS CARD WITH FREE 240GB SSD"
Virtual Reality is upon us with the likes of Oculus Rift already available and HTC Vive coming very soon. Valve have released a SteamVR benchmark which will test your system for VR Readiness, we advice customers to run this benchmark as the minimum specification to be VR Ready is a GTX 970 from camp NVIDIA. VR is a game changer for games such as Elite Dangerous, Portal 3, Flight simulator, Project cars and who knows the elusive Half Life 3 may make an appearance from Valve as being VR optimised, lets keep our fingers crossed.
Maxwell is the most advanced GPU architecture ever made, designed to be the engine of next generation gaming. Inspired by light, it was designed to solve some of the most complex lighting and graphics challenges in visual computing. For the first time, gaming GPU's can dynamically render indirect light using the new VXGI (Voxel Global Illumination technology). Scenes are significantly more lifelike as light interacts more realistically in the game environment.
The GTX 980 is the worlds fastest GPU and the GTX 970 offers the most advanced performance in its class. Each delivers 2x the performance of previous-generation card, bringing new gaming experiences to virtual reality, and ultra resolution 4k displays.
Enable the detail of 4k monitors, on a 1080P display. DSR produces smoother images by rendering a game at a high resolution, then downscaling it to the native resolution of the display using advanced filtering.
GeForce GTX 980 and 970 cards support tear-free, super-fast NVIDIA G-Sync monitor display technology including 4k. Together, these technologies provide the most immersive and competitive gaming experiences possible.
Get VR Ready with GeForce® GTX.

They do more than list it. The warranty is handled by overclockers for the full 3 years.
"Also remember when buying Asus graphics and motherboards from OcUK we deal with the RMA for the 3yr period and it falls under our Turbo service which aims to replace the product within 48hrs to equivalent product."

buy yourself a decent psu. You can get a good one for less than £100 and its one of the few components you can really use when you upgrade

It does. A cheap 450w psu will be unable to run this, a quality one will.
This card will be a good match for your setup

doesnt seem that great a deal. games are free with the card anyway, unless you're after an ssd, but given current state of ssd's, they seem to be dropping in price regularly.

3yrs warranty is a bonus, not many retailers list details and if you ask they tell you it's only for 2.

How's it for noise mate? Does it do a silent mode (fans off completely at idle)?

I know this states 450w psu required but will this be ok as I've seen 500w minimum?
I have 450w psu, fx6300 16gb ram and a gtx 750ti atm, will this work as none of my components are oc?

Yes that should be fine. The Psu never uses that amount unless it's under extreme load. My i5 and Windforce 970 use about 340 when I'm playing Black Ops 3.

The ones who are laughing are forum members who get free delivery. Makes OcUK cheaper than other retailers and in the event they aren't they'll normally price match.

The lowest price of the card alone currently is £284.99 so for £24.90 (including delivery) more you get a Kingston 240GB SSD (lowest current price £54.99) and 2 new/recent games. If you don't need/want them you could sell each for £10 or more and you're in profit, thought you'd likely be able to sell them for more than that.
You could say the same for pretty much every consumer component

Its £263 here. (if you dont want the SSD, but do want the games)
This was around 291 with a free SanDisk 240 ssd on ebuyer a little while ago. Snapped it up. for those who asked, yeah it runs really quiet. actually pushes 4k30 solid in the crew wild run and FO4 with very little aa. Runs everything flawlessly in qhd with aa. Though got it running at 1440 gpu and 8000 memory.
