Just seen a similar deal for Iceland so thought i'd share these as they are 100% chicken breast with NO ADDED WATER OR SALT.
They come in 700g bags which are currently on a 3 for £8 offer. Works out at £3.80 per kg. I've been using these for months an they are great. They say cook from frozen but i always defrost and cook then as normal. Worth stocking up with the offer being on.
Chicken Breast (87%) , Water , Salt , Acidity Regulators (Sodium Carbonates, Sodium Citrates)
So it's the same deal to the Iceland one which was 1.5kg for £5. these are 100% chicken, no added water or salt.

Thanks, order coming tomorrow so have added these on!
Usually buy their tray of fresh chicken breast for £5.50 but gotta use it fairly quickly. Handy to buy frozen.

That is why i started getting these, only two of us so i used to buy a large fresh pack and then freeze what we didn't use before use by date anyway. Saved to more hassle.

I have never had a frozen chicken breast - are they 'drier' than usual when defrosted?

Depends on how you cook them. I buy fresh & then freeze them. If I cut them into chunks, then they can dry out. Leave them as whole breasts & the retain moisture quite well. Could just be my cooking technique though.

i find them to be absolutely fine, I defrost then cook as normal, either oven or in the frying pan. used them in sauces, wrapped in parma ham and in fajitas and all great.

Just as a heads up, Tesco's cheaper frozen chicken is by far the worst out all the supermarkets, full of water which makes he chicken a weird consistency. Haven't tried this stuff though!

Can't say it's the worst then if you haven't tried it from all supermarket  /pedant

That's not what I said. I said the cheaper stuff is the worst out of all supermarket frozen chicken I have personally tried. But thanks for your contribution to the discussion

No, you said it was the worst out of all supermarket chicken then you said you hadn't tried it, which makes your point meaningless.

No, he/she said they hadn't tried the chicken this deal refers to.
The chicken which is the worst he/she has ever tried is the cheaper tesco chicken with added water.
