It'd be a really good deal if I could get any of the 10% off vouchers kicking around the internet to actually work with this. As they won't, it's a decent price, but that's about it.
Zavvi has the worst customer service among online retailers, avoid at all cost.

Still clueless as to why people don't upgrade their hard drives themselves.

But the standard price for a 500gb model is much the same as this deal, so surely worth buying this and upgrading yourself later?

Seeing as the internal is SATA II, enough USB3 ports and the price of large USB3 externals dropping doesnt seem like its worth the risk for the average person.
The risk of opening the console, voiding a warranty, buying a separate drive, cloning and restoring the old drive to the new in Linux inst really what your average gamer is looking to do...
I was holding out for the 1TB to drop to a decent price but when I found out it was SATA II I thought screw it, wait for a decent deal on a 500GB, a 2TB USB3 and use the internal for updates, XBLA etc.
Don't get me wrong, I'll be sticking in a 2TB internal when the warranty's gone, simply for the fact that I can

Really don't think this is that great of a deal, and considering it zavvi as well who have terrible customer service.

Gets you the division for £15 extra
Pretty much standard price to be honest.
