Really disappointed with the steelbook for Spectre, at £20 from amazon. Plain black cover with white graphic front and back. Nothing special at all. Probably 'limited' to about a million copies. For £20, they could at least put some effort into the case or inserts of some kind.

Urgh, I can pick 5 off of that list that I bought at release for £14.99+
I think the steelbook revolution is over.
Just wait for them to drop to a normal price. Cant remember the last time I looked on eBay to see one of my recent purchases selling for more than I paid for it.

Tell me about it. I try now to only buy the films I really want when the first come out now because of the Zavvi reductions - I'd say there's probably a 70% chance any steelbook will get reduced. Only Marvel and most Disney ones seem to sell out so they can't reduce them.

I agree about the Spectre steelbook - it's too boring. I really liked the Amazon Skyfall steelbook though and really hoped we could have something that would match that...

Voted hot for a few of them.
A lot of their steelbook prices have been deliberately increased from what they were the other day to seem like the better deal though. I was going to buy 21 & 22 jump street but I think it's even more expensive now with this 'deal' - they hiked 21 JS up by about a fiver to include it in another deal.

Echoing some of the comments here, I simply wish we had better steelbooks and more exclusive packages in this country. KimchiDVD gets some absolutely fantastic exclusive packages (their Eternal Sunshine ones especially were stunning) but since they're based in Korea we have to pay a lot to get them.

Got a 10% off code in my email from Zavvi this morning, so figured I'd buy a couple of steels.. As soon as I add it, I get the message that the code I've used is not a current promotion.. you sent it to me today, you absolute glove puppets!! honestly, I'm not buying now on principal.. useless!

Thanks for pointing that out :smiley: I've got it on blu ray already , but that's cheap enough for me to switch copies . maybe get a quid or 2 for copy I got already . Picked up Grosse Point Blank as well to update my dvd copy ... that movies brilliant :smiley:
