Another Zavvi deal for 'reduced' steelbooks. Most of these have already been at these prices, but it's the cheapest for a lot of them. Some decent deals to be had for those that collect steelbooks.

Annoyingly some of these were in a 2 for £14.99 deal last week that I posted - and they now work out slightly cheaper.

Really disappointed with the steelbook for Spectre, at £20 from amazon. Plain black cover with white graphic front and back. Nothing special at all. Probably 'limited' to about a million copies. For £20, they could at least put some effort into the case or inserts of some kind.

Bought muppets earlier, they emailed me saying a misprice so cancelled it. come home, it's still on their site for 5.99 so have tried again. Other than that, it's the same steelbooks at the same prices they usually stick them at.

I guess your order was cancelled, because they accidentally allowed ordering those steelbooks for a few minutes while the deal "buy 1 get 1 free" was still active as well and I guess you were collateral damage. That made it possible to get Muppets for 3 pounds lol

Load of old tat. They need to bring down the price for American Psycho to 6.99 and I may consider using Zavvi again. You get better choices/prices for steelbooks using Amazon France, Germany and Italy

Thanks for pointing that out :smiley: I've got it on blu ray already , but that's cheap enough for me to switch copies . maybe get a quid or 2 for copy I got already . Picked up Grosse Point Blank as well to update my dvd copy ... that movies brilliant :smiley:

Zavvi is just the middle man, its the film studios that are pumping them out. Zavvi doesn't help themselves over there prices for new releases. I stopped buying them full price as well, Think I only have star wars on pre order, £25 with no 3d disc. That's going to get cancelled.

Guess what, 4k steels are just around the corner.

Got a 10% off code in my email from Zavvi this morning, so figured I'd buy a couple of steels.. As soon as I add it, I get the message that the code I've used is not a current promotion.. you sent it to me today, you absolute glove puppets!! honestly, I'm not buying now on principal.. useless!

Echoing some of the comments here, I simply wish we had better steelbooks and more exclusive packages in this country. KimchiDVD gets some absolutely fantastic exclusive packages (their Eternal Sunshine ones especially were stunning) but since they're based in Korea we have to pay a lot to get them.

Voted hot for a few of them.

A lot of their steelbook prices have been deliberately increased from what they were the other day to seem like the better deal though. I was going to buy 21 & 22 jump street but I think it's even more expensive now with this 'deal' - they hiked 21 JS up by about a fiver to include it in another deal.

I agree about the Spectre steelbook - it's too boring. I really liked the Amazon Skyfall steelbook though and really hoped we could have something that would match that...

I think the steelbook revolution is over.

Just wait for them to drop to a normal price. Cant remember the last time I looked on eBay to see one of my recent purchases selling for more than I paid for it.

Tell me about it. I try now to only buy the films I really want when the first come out now because of the Zavvi reductions - I'd say there's probably a 70% chance any steelbook will get reduced. Only Marvel and most Disney ones seem to sell out so they can't reduce them.
