If anyone is interested, there are physical copies going cheaper on eBay. The physical copy then has re-sale value

Personally prefer disks to digital copies. Can pick up used games and play them for 4/5 weeks And sell them for similar prices. Digital you would lose the full amount.
For the net cost of £7 during the ownership of my PS4 ive played and completed ( thanks to hukd, avforums and cex)

Some games you want to keep. I don't buy a game and think right I'm gonna finish it as fast as I can then flog it. Take for example Borderlands, I went digital with that because a, I love it and b, I won't ever get bored of it. Most gamers won't be thinking about money towards their next game because they will have around 10 piled up waiting to start.

I don't see the point in digital, you can't sell on if it is no good/not your thing. Also, once finished with a physical copy, you can sell it on to re-invest in your next game. Each to their own though

2016. Year of digital. Thanks for the advice though I'm sure it will help someone out.

2016 isn't the year of digital. Nevertheless, I'm sure a copy for £15-20 would be a biting price for some

Uhh no. Uncharted games are once and done games. You play it for the story then sell them off.

With digital games on PlayStation (at least from personal experience on PS3) if a game goes on for too long without its licence renewed it (by signing in to the PSN account) becomes unplayable so no use having it. Another issue with digital format is that you never really own the product but rather rely on the service to keep it stored on the server until they decide to remove (still downloadable if on the Download History list).
Xbox 360 is different, though. The licence doesn't expire and you can play the games whenever you want, except, the Indie ones but honestly, those are a piece of garbage for the most part so don't care about them (think of it as Early Steam Access games).
EDIT: You can also copy the 360 digital games over to your USB/HDD and store them on the PC and on a CD or DVD if you'd want.

Only physical copies I buy now are PS3 games because they are cheap and I collect them. Digital all the way for PS4 I don't own a single physical copy on PS4. Also better for late night gaming making the console run quieter. If my hard drive dies I can simply buy another unlike if the blu ray drive fails u have to open it up and replace the damn thing. Plus if you have 2 PS4s you can coop without having to buy another copy, and also boost Multiplayer trophies again without having to buy another copy... Or gameshare with a friend. So yea Digital imo is way better

Sony could literally ban you for any reason or go out of business you will have losed thousands of pounds worth of content. Relying on a companies goodwill is stupid but this generation are stupid people so go right ahead. Would you put your faith in a complete stranger by giving them your credit cards and details and not expect them to take advantage? Never put your faith on anyone but yourself.
