For the first time in Street Fighter history, all post-launch gameplay-related content in Street Fighter V can be earnable via gameplay, free of charge. All balance and system adjustments will be available for free, so players will always have access to the most current version. Additional characters will be continually added, making this the first iteration in the franchise where it’s possible for dedicated players to continue to expand on their gameplay experience without the need to purchase further titles in the series. Street Fighter V will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Through a strategic partnership between Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and Capcom, the next generation Street Fighter experience will offer cross-platform play that will unite fans into a centralized player base for the first time ever. The path to greatness begins here: RISE UP!

No disrespect but this is what fighter fans grew up on. As you're a fan of fighting games I'm baffled as to how you cannot see that.

Do not buy this game. It is very barebones and unfinished. It blows my mind that Capcom thought it was acceptable to release a game in this state and still think its acceptable to charge full price.

No this is a big deal. If you support this it will show people are fine with unfinished games and other companies will do the exact same thing drip feeding content that should have shipped on the disc. This game was in development for at least 4 years yet doesn't have any basic features or modes that its previous game did right 7 damn years ago.

Say what?! That's the only way I play these type of games.

I'm still amazed this doesn't ship with a solo vs CPU mode.

So doesn't have an arcade mode with a story behind it?

Apparently coming as free DLC in June/July, not sure how a beginner/casual Street Fighter player is supposed to practise without a vs CPU mode.

I'm shocked to hear that!
I'm a casual fighter game fan and been playing them forever,I just can't believe this game doesn't let you play vs cpu.

It's obvious this was pushed out the door ("rushed" is a little harsh) in time for the hardcore 'Evo' tournament players for this years competition.

I would have been a day one buyer, but after reading how much is missing its an absolute joke. Do a google search before buying.

Everything will be added March-June.
Whilst I detest this kind of thing, as I want everything on a disc, forever, it's not the end of the world,as it isn't too long to wait.
No doubt a complete disc edition will show up at some point.

Apparently it has a short story mode where each character faces between 2 and 4 fights, so a lot shorter than it is traditionally. On top of that, apparently you can win each fight by just repeatedly leg sweeping, so guessing the final AI isn't in place just yet. I'm not supporting this game as it seems cut down with freemium options in place to be rolled out in March.

That's sounds good then. At least it will be easy to do the not take a hit or get thrown with perfects finishing with super/ultra moves with no continues in order to fight super/evil/shin Bison/Akuma/Regal lol.
