Mentioned recently in a few NUS threads in the comments....but this really deserves its own deal!
For its happy meal price....you get around 10 lessons/modules in your chosen field delivered as individual bytesize 1hr live virtual classes, access to recorded sessions for any you miss...an exam to win yourself a NCFE Diploma level 4 qualification...the right to call yourself a student and eat beans on toast
Most will obv take advantage of the fact its a NUS approved edu centre to claim your deserved student cards for £13 posted
Others will relive that feeling of sleeping during lectures, being late to class.....yet somehow its amazingly good value for money and worth achieving the qualification which sounds better then it actually is!!
The Shaw Academy is not listed under a place of study for NUS extra card scheme. If it is still possible please can kindly advise otherwise the description is incorrect. Thank you.

I just bought a Card and it has The Shaw Academy on it so I don't know what you're chatting on.

Awesome, someone answered my question. You sir are correct and it is in fact listed. I was going by someone else's comment and the fact I couldn't find it since I didn't type "The". Cheers!

I'm more interested in where you get your happy meals for £1.99 as that is a deal in itself. They are about £2.49 now.

Should get 200,000 ppl who think like you and start a pyramid scheme and every week pick one person who gets all the money then we have a few home owners on the market and only out of pocket just under £8 a month, only downside is some ppl waiting along time to get their payout but better than lottery eh :stuck_out_tongue:

I'd also check Quora and Reddit, for information on courses, there's so many free courses you can do. The real heavyweight free ones I'm about to show you, if you've never seen these before then you'll be amazed! Covers a wide variety of subjects >
Please note the above links in this post cover many topics not just computing. Here's an example how to find free courses using Reddit (the search I looked for in Google was 'Reddit free full stack web development')
£1.99 means I don't care if it's rubbish. Bought one for photography, cheers OP.

The FAQ says this:
Does anyone know what it means by members? Members of what?
It also says
I assume the £1.99 doesn't include the cost of the Diploma being sent to you?
Has anyone done one of these courses before? Are they any good?

I know the site says "We are accredited by the NCFE Diploma level 4" but are all courses at level 4 or various levels up to level 4 because I can't see anywhere that actually states the level?

What are NCFE qualifications equivalent too? Last thing I want to do be doing is adding a made up qualification to my CV!

Level 2 would be equivalent to GCSEs and level 3 to A-level. Level 4 would be high diploma (or something like that).

NCFE is a recognised qualification.
