Tom try using an alum block after your shave.

You can do that with a double edge razor as well.

Don't be ridiculous. And if you're asking a question in future, use a question mark.

No unless they are hiding their face. I would recommend a Philips Bodygroom for anything delicate. :man:

You can get away with a plastic one, caution to the brave and all. Less chance of it slipping.

I have the Edwin Jagger DE89. Don't suppose this is much different?
Like drasim, I use the Astra Superior Platinum blades too. I get two shaves per blade (though one could probably get a few more uses) and paid £9.50 for 100 blades including a soap stick.
It's certainly a fantastic 'value for money' way to shave.

When you have mastered using this type of razor then buy Feather blades
As someone who use the Gillette Power razor, how do clean shaven blades compare in terms of irritation?

I bought one of these the last time they were on sale. Not having used anything like it before was a bit unsure about using it. So glad i did as i have saved a fortune in the time i have been using it and get a great shave too. Bought a witch hazel stick to deal with cuts but have not even had one from it. Give it a try, it gets + heat from me.

What soap/cream did you use? Did you splash cold water on after shaving to close your pores and use an aftershave balm etc? Knowing more about the whole process would let people offer some advice and recommendations.
