Are these any good? Looking for an everyday watch, but something that says 'look at me, I'm sophisticated' :sunglasses:

This isn't the watch for that... this is a hardy watch to bash about.

They're good. But I wouldn't describe them as "sophisticated".
I have one of these. I like it. It's tough (it's a g-shock so it should be) but, unlike most g-shock watches, it's not the size of a dustbin lid.
I paid around £50 for mine so this is a good price. Heat.

What's your budget? Could you stretch to a Tissot?

No too bad a price but lacking the features I like in G-shock, namely Waveceptor and Tough Solar. Replaceable batteries don't cut it for me any more.

I have a g-shock with a load of functions i'll never need but love to have.
Only criticism so far is that for a "rugged" watch that's designed to take a beating the glass isn't very durable. I scratched mine quite badly on the first week of owning it just knocking my wrist against a security barrier (think tube turnstiles). Bit disappointed regarding that but otherwise can't fault mine.

unfortunately very few G-Shock watches have Sapphire Crystal - I have one which has and one which hasn't - the one with was expensive though (for a G). I don't see why they can't put it in their lower end (although not quite this low!) end watches instead of the mineral glass they tend to use.
