I have one of these, i've been wearing it for about 18 months i think, its quite good, but don't buy it if you have fairly large wrists, mine aren't huge but with this watch i have to use the 3rd hole from the end and on that hole the end is constantly coming out of the rubber ring that holds it in place. my previous watches including my last one which was a casio wave ceptor had a longer straps and that never really happened. I think the last 2 holes would be all bust useless. Or perhaps its just me.
I looked to see if i could find a larger strap but i struggled and gave up.

I have a g-shock with a load of functions i'll never need but love to have.
Only criticism so far is that for a "rugged" watch that's designed to take a beating the glass isn't very durable. I scratched mine quite badly on the first week of owning it just knocking my wrist against a security barrier (think tube turnstiles). Bit disappointed regarding that but otherwise can't fault mine.

unfortunately very few G-Shock watches have Sapphire Crystal - I have one which has and one which hasn't - the one with was expensive though (for a G). I don't see why they can't put it in their lower end (although not quite this low!) end watches instead of the mineral glass they tend to use.

Are these any good? Looking for an everyday watch, but something that says 'look at me, I'm sophisticated' :sunglasses:

This isn't the watch for that... this is a hardy watch to bash about.

They're good. But I wouldn't describe them as "sophisticated".
I have one of these. I like it. It's tough (it's a g-shock so it should be) but, unlike most g-shock watches, it's not the size of a dustbin lid.
I paid around £50 for mine so this is a good price. Heat.

What's your budget? Could you stretch to a Tissot?
This looks really good and you cannot go wrong with these. Land Rovers of watches!!

I bought a G-Shock 12 years ago and it was £200 still looks awesome and works exactly how it should and I haven't yet changed a battery for it until now! These watches are really decent and I can't believe they're so cheap on some models.

No too bad a price but lacking the features I like in G-shock, namely Waveceptor and Tough Solar. Replaceable batteries don't cut it for me any more.
