If you don't stop the auto-pack straight away then it will go down to £4 credit.
Turn off data, turn off phone, insert sim, start phone and text "STOP PACK" to 150. It sends you a message asking to confirm, you need to reply "YES" I think.
Now you have £5 credit to do as you will.

Not easily... the text costs 10p so you're down to £4.90 straight away. Minimum top up for both PSN and EE is £5, so you'll always be out of pocket.
EE will however transfer the balance for you from one SIM to another - but they only allow this once per SIM, whether you're transferring to it or from it - so to get a fivers worth of credit on PSN you'd need to buy 2 of these cards, and one would be left with £4.90 credit, whilst you've got a fiver on PSN for a £1.98 outlay. I did this on Black Friday with the phones they were doing for £20 with £20 free credit... then sold the phones to CEX for £23 each!
With PSN though they only allow you a certain number different numbers to top up from, caused me a bit of a headache!

I saw this offer before the deal was posted. My sim arrived today, and my plan is to use it to unlock an iphone 6s.
Before I stick the sim in my phone, can anyone confirm that if my first action is to txt STOP PACK that I will keep my £5 credit. I believe that once my phone is linked to an EE number I can start the unlock process online. Any idea whether I need to do anything to get my phone registered to this sim, or is just switching on the phone good enough?

Hardly, this deal will get you 500 MB of data (100 MB x 5 weeks) for 99p, its a fifth of the cost, plus you get 10mins and 10 texts each week for 5 weeks. Ideal in a dual sim phone. I've been using these for the last year!
