The complete eight seasons of the American drama about a Miami police forensics expert who kills those he believes have escaped justice. Dexter (Michael C. Hall) was orphaned at the age of three after the murder of his mother, an incident which appears to have implanted in him a fierce desire to punish those who commit criminal acts. While avoiding suspicion with a genial and helpful professional facade by day, when off-duty Dexter remorselessly hunts down those he believes have escaped the justice of the law and takes his vengeance.

Best series from seasons 1 to 4. Went downhill from there with the worst ending imaginable!!!

Sounds like the actor brings out some insecurity you have. Can't agree with that at all.

Skip the last season(s).
They really jump the shark multiple times and come the end they are just throwing everything at the wall and hoping something sticks.
That ending.... you think you've seen poor endings to films and tv shows then you see that.

Does anybody agree with me when I say that Dexter is such a load of rubbish, the main character is just so annoying that you just want to pound his smug face.

I used to think that, and that he was a bad actor. That was until I saw him in some other stuff and realised he was totally different. The smugness is a part of the character.

I started watching Dexter because the premise seemed very promising and for a while, it was OK although there was something about all the characters which was borderline pantomime and exremely annoying. But it went steadily downhill from the start and if I wasn't TV-free, i.e. what I have hard copies of is all I get to watch, I would have abandoned it very early on.
Perhaps it was because I thought that by the end, the series was completely beyond even the greatest stretch of my suspension of disbelief that I actually thought the end was pretty good. A relief, perhaps.
Anyway, as a non-television owning occasional binge-watcher, I'd say that this is perhaps the worst series I have endured and it's perhaps a little ironic that I almost didn't watch Six Feet Under because of Michael C Hall yet having eventually done so, thoroughly enjoyed it and thought that it had the best final episode (at least the best last few minutes) I have ever seen which was worth watching the five series for.

Best show of all time. Ending was phenomenal too. Loved how they ditched everything people wanted and just went for it. Pretty emotional.
No spoilers in here please people. :man:

Wow, talk about sensationalism.
Everything nowadays seems to be the best ever or the worst ever. It's like there isn't an in between anymore.
It was an enjoyable series. Hot deal.
