Smooth and detailed picture
Whatever you watch, the LG 49LF630V offers a highly engaging picture. The LED backlighting offers deeper blacks and greatly improved contrast over conventional LCD TVs. Full 1080p HD resolution ensures you get the most detail possible HD sources and the also offers LG 49LF630V smooth motion. Thanks to 800 PMI (Picture Mastering Index) processing, images are sharper and have less blur with fast moving action scenes.
WebOS 2.0 Smart interface
Widely acclaimed as one of the best smart TV interfaces, LG's webOS 2.0 operating system is now even more simple to use. Rather than using smart TV menu pages, webOS uses superimposed icons, folders and side bars for clear and easy access to smart content. Fast, responsive and truly adept at multi-tasking, even for technophobes will love WebOS 2.0.
One of the Smartest in class
As you'd expect, there's a premium range of LG applications, including many popular video on demand apps, such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer and YouTube. There's also a web browser plus DLNA certification to allow you to stream across your network from other devices, such as your laptop. WiDi lets you stream content from compatible computers and supports up to Full HD resolution.
Ways to share
Miracast lets you watch what's on your mobile or tablet, on the big screen - wirelessly (requires a Wi-Fi network and Miracast certified smartphone -firmware update may be required). Alternatively, MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) allows you to link up compatible smartphones or tablets and stream video via HDMI in full HD. Voice recognition is standard and gesture control via the Magic Remote is available as a cost option.
Crisp sound quality
Boosting the sound quality is LG's Virtual Surround Plus processing for a more enveloping sound. There are six other sound modes and three position modes for precise adjustment, while Smart equalizing volume ensures the volume stays the same during commercial breaks. While it's certainly no match for a soundbar or sound base, the onboard system is better than you might expect
For a TV that delivers on all fronts, the LG 49LF630v is a leader in its class.

I can confirm that after having cut the cable between my satellite dish and my freesat box with a pair of secateurs, the channel on the tv has indeed vanished. Also, you have to connect your freesat box and dish even to access on demand services. Sucks huh.

I can still play with the freesat box menus and settings though. Not all bad.

I had my freesat dish taken down as I don't watch live TV. I wonder if I have done the right thing. There was no signal from the dish any way. Nothing wrong with my Freesat panny which I passed onto my ex. But there had been no signals for years. So I just had it removed.
