The price quoted is for flying out of London Gatwick on 9 April 2016 and return on the 16th April.
Return luggage only is £64 or £110 with luggage which is not bad at all.

No - it wasn't because they 'refused' to fly with them because they were simply Palestinian. If you're going to make comments on things like Mac first ensure they are accurate. Secondly, not relevant for the OP's find.
Voted hot, went santorini last year, defo recommend - don't stay in Oia, too touristy and crowded. There best views are found in imerovigli- we had a balcony right on the cliff, with nothing in front of us, amazing sunsets and views. Firostefani and Fira are walking distance, lots of restaurants, and can either hike or get a cheap bus to Oia.

It was Aegean, and from what I've read, they didn't really have a choice, it was other passengers making a fuss about security.

Completely wrong, it was a different airline (i.e. Aegean) and the passengers all had Israeli passports.
It's £64 to send your hand luggage? How much to travel with it?

I concur. I walked from Fira to Oia along the coast and the hotels I saw along the way in Imerovigli looked incredible. I made it in time for the sunset in Oia, but man it was crowded. All the restaurants were packed and every square and piece of space was overcrowded. Oia might be nice during the day, but it's awful in the evening around sunset time. See the sunset, grab a kebab at the bus station (yes, that is my top tip) and head back to Fira for the late night shopping and views. Santorini is amazing.

We stayed in the Vinsanto Villas in Imerovigli and we had the same experience of amazing views and relatively quiet compared to Oia.
