I think that is a very articulate and sensibly worded response on the subject.

Every world Champion has played in the BDO. They do more for grass roots darts than the PDC ever will. If the BDO looks like amateurs that's because some of them are and have jobs like us mere mortals. The PDC would not exist without the BDO. I have nothing against Phil's Darts Club, but the constant comparisons are boring. It's like comparing the EPL with the Football League. The BDO could exist without the PDC but could the opposite be true?

The PDC makes the BDO look like an amateur game from what I watched! Both enjoyable to watch, but seems a different league of player in the PDC if you ask me.

Agreed, there is only one true champion, Gary Anderson who is indeed British

Why does darts have seperate tournaments for men and women? Its not a physical contact sport like rugby where strength and size is an advantage so why do they need to be seperate?

I picked some darts up from sports direct for £5. Not weighty enough for my liking though

I think people are entitled to make comparisons when the BDO run a 'world championship' that only includes probably 1 or 2 of the worlds top 32 players. Maybe the BDO should call it the 'pub players championship' if they want to avoid comparison. And yes the PDC would exist without any issues if the BDO ceases to exist and would just mean the PDC's challenge tour gets stronger.
