SMA are changing their packaging. I noticed that the old size was slightly bigger so took them to the till. They are coming up at £4.50 which is an absolute bargain at half price. The powder doesn't expire until 2017.

SMA, and 90% of other baby formulas are made from cows milk, the others being goat milk and soya.
It is unheard of to have baby formula at 1/2 price, so heat added; although I agree that fresh milk is probably better, formula has its uses.
(M&S charged full price for SMA that had only 3 weeks left before expiry).

Totally agree with you, but someone buying this type of formula is generally not breastfeeding but perhaps doesnt realise that cows milk can be used instead of toddler type milks.

This is formula for 1-3 year olds so ideal for post breastfeeding. not suggesting it as a substitute. Both our kids moved onto SMA post being breastfeed

I didn't want to use cow milk before my child turned 3.... IT was our choice and we didn't care that milk is cheaper.

I managed to get 4 from my local they were high up on top of the shelving so I took to self serve to check price woman was shocked and said you can only have two you know, nope I'm shopping with my mum she bought the other two ha!
