Unnecessary IMHO, some newer PCs do have the right mounting and even if yours doesn't, I find these drives are so small and light they can be held in place just fine with some blutack, or are even fine laid on the bottom of the PC case as the sata and sata power cables are generally firm enough to stop it moving very much. As desktops are largely stationary anyway it doesn't much matter about the mounting. Of course, if you regularly move your PC you might want to mount it more securely, but if that's the case you'd probably be better with a laptop...

Some cases have mounting holes in the bottom/side of the drive cage for 2.5 drives, so might be worth check that first.

Yep, agreed. Can be just stuck on. Pretty sure they do come with a basic surround though to fit 2.5" bays.

120Gb is a bit too small really . Better to spend a little more and get the 240Gb. I bought the 120 in a previous offer and wish I'd gone for the bigger drive. no issues with performance, it's very fast.

Depends. If you already have a bigger conventional drive and it is a desktop then 120Gb is quite sufficient for the OS and applications. It will speed up your PC considerably and make boot times very much faster. Keep your data on the old hard disk. Gains from moving this to SSD will usually be too small to make much difference and old spinning iron is much the cheapest place to store data especially if you just keep on adding images, videos etc and never cull.
Horses for courses. Laptops don't usually give you the luxury of more than a one horse disk.

Amazon probably (possibly) won't pricematch cos its bots won't see the discount code, only the pre-discounted standard cost. This is typically why some suppliers don't show the discount in the standard cost, to remain competitive and avoid the auto-pricematching harvesting by competitors.
