New Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger. Not many of these around yet. Seems Anker are only doing a couple devices so far. I've got lots of Quick Charge 2.0 stuff and swear buy it. At £10 I've just picked this up. Looking at the 74 reviews, seems to be about 30% faster than 2.0 so here's hoping its that good!

So, in effect, the device is virtually useless for anyone right now? :L

Single usb portal charger? If this was a triple it'd be hot.
Just to be clear, your phone/device needs to have the technology built in, if it doesn't this won't charge as fast as it says, correct?

Correct. Also, whilst I don't think there are any Quick Charge 3.0 devices out (only got announced in September), the next wave of flagships most likely will, and this will still work with Quick Charge 2.0 devices (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S6, LG G4 etc) at Quick Charge 2.0 speeds.

Not useless, as it still charges other formats of quick charge quickly plus sets you up for when you get a 3.0 device. Hot.

So, yes, it is useless right now then :stuck_out_tongue:
Given it's only £2 more than their v2 I guess it it's not a bad deal

Well, it works with QC 1.0 and 2.0, and it is not much more than some of the QC 2.0 chargers (£7-8 ) you can find on Amazon. Qualcomm claim 3.0 is more efficient and intelligent than 2.0, reducing heat generated during charging and presumably improving battery longevity on 3.0 devices so if you might be going onto a 3.0 device in the future or have a 2.0 device now, you may as well get this model.

Will this rapid charge USB type C devices ie Nexus 5x etc?

Rather defeats the point really, judging by the specs the PSU can deliver 3.6 Amps, that should be plenty to charge any current Apple device... £14 for a single port charger is a little steep imho...

Yes, I bought one last week and it did, the micro USB cable though not an iPhone cable.

The QC 3.0 model doesn't come with a cable, the QC2 does.
